On the September 16 NXT Homecoming event, WWE announced that Oba Femi will face Trick Williams in a NXT Championship vs. TNA World Championship Winner Takes All match for the September 23 episode.
This led to several members of the TNA Wrestling roster to take to social media to express their disapproval of not being part of the NXT Homecoming show and this title vs. title match.
These posts have indicated to many fans that TNA Wrestling will be taking part in an invasion of WWE NXT where the stars of the roster will go after the brand’s talent.
With the potential of this happening and leading to its own standalone premium live event, here are our predictions for the card for a potential WWE vs. TNA Wrestling Invasion show.
TNA World Championship: Trick Williams (c) vs. Mike Santana
At TNA Bound For Glory 2025, Trick Williams will defend the TNA World Title against Mike Santana.
Ever since this match was made official for the October 12 pay-per-view, Williams has only shown up once on TNA Wrestling programming to attack Santana.
Santana has made it clear that he intends to go to Trick’s stomping ground to get his hands on the reigning champion.
Depending on the result of the TNA Bound For Glory 2025 main event, Trick defending the top prize in TNA Wrestling against Santana would make for the most compelling title bout for this potential “Invasion” style show.

The System (Moose, Eddie Edwards, Brian Myers & JDC) vs. DarkState (Dion Lennox, Osiris Griffin, Cutler James & Saquon Shugars)
Both WWE NXT and TNA Wrestling have their own factions who are currently considering the top of the food chain in these two brands.
Trick Williams coming to TNA and holding the top prize in the promotion has led to The System turning babyface to defend the company against the invading talent.
Meanwhile, Darkstate has continued to run roughshod over WWE NXT and TNA Wrestling with a series of attacks in both companies.
After The System teamed with Matt Cardona to pick up a win in an eight man tag at TNA Slammiversary, Darkstate could come back for some revenge by facing the full System lineup at this potential TNA Invasion event.

TNA International Championship: Steve Maclin (c) vs. Je’Von Evans
One of the TNA Wrestling stars who has been the most vocal about defending the company against the WWE NXT talent is Steve Maclin.
Back in April, Maclin made history when he became the inaugural TNA International Champion.
When looking at the NXT roster, there are a variety of competitors who could challenge Maclin for the gold at this co-promotional show, but none is more intriguing than Je’Von Evans.
Maclin defending the TNA International Championship against “The Young OG” could prove to be a showstealing contest on this hypothetical joint event.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships: Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair (c) vs. Jordynne Grace & Masha Slamovich
On the September 16 NXT Homecoming event, Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair defeated The Culling’s Tatum Paxley and Izzi Dame to retain the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships.
The women’s divisions in both WWE NXT and TNA Wrestling are vast and deep with various stars who should be highlighted on this potential show.
In February, Jordynne Grace made her official debut as a NXT roster member and has plenty of history from her time in TNA Wrestling over the course of her six-year run.
Grace teaming with her former rival and real life friend Masha Slamovich to challenge Flair and Bliss would be a dream match pitting some of the biggest stars from WWE and TNA rosters against each other.

TNA World Tag Team Championships: The Hardys (Matt & Jeff Hardy) (c) vs. Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley)
Back in February, The Hardys made their return to WWE when they came to the NXT brand as TNA World Tag Team Champions.
Matt and Jeff Hardy showcased why they are still one of the best tag teams in the world today. While the legendary duo competed in a few matches, Matt and Jeff did not face some of the top tag teams on the WWE roster.
Looking at the company’s talented tag team scene, no other tandem has the history and legacy in TNA Wrestling quite like The Motor City Machine Guns.
The Hardys defending the TNA World Tag Team Titles against Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley would make for a first time ever meeting between two of the most influential and important tag teams of the past three decades.

TNA Knockouts World Championship: Ash By Elegance (c) vs. Lola Vice
At WWE NXT Heatwave 2025, Ash By Elegance defeated Masha Slamovich and Jacy Jayne to win the TNA Knockouts World Championship.
The former Dana Brooke has silenced many of her doubters wrong with her run in TNA that started in 2024 and has established her own stable with The Elegance Brand.
Over on the NXT brand, Lola Vice has been picking up a ton of momentum with a series of wins and finding success ahead of her upcoming NXT Women’s Championship match against Jacy Jayne at No Mercy on September 27.
Regardless of the outcome, Vice could be the challenger for Ash By Elegance for the TNA Knockouts World Championship at this possible WWE NXT vs. TNA Invasion event.

NXT Women’s Championship: Jacy Jayne (c) vs. Dani Luna
Despite losing the aforementioned TNA Knockouts Championship, Jacy Jayne still sits atop of the NXT women’s division with the NXT Women’s Championship and Fatal Influence by her side.
Still having to be looked at as someone who embarrassed their company, Jayne has to be viewed as an enemy to many in the TNA Knockouts division.
Meanwhile, Dani Luna has been showing off a new attitude in TNA Wrestling, turning heel and betraying her former tag team partner Jody Threat.
Jayne could defend the NXT Women’s Championship against Luna who could potentially pick up the biggest win of her career.

NXT Championship: Oba Femi (c) vs. Joe Hendry
Oba Femi has been on a run of dominance unlike anyone that has ever walked through WWE NXT.
Holding the North American Championship longer than anyone in the brand’s history and being the current NXT Champion, Femi has firmly solidified himself as “The Ruler.”
After turning back challenges from TNA Wrestling’s Moose, Femi could get another challenger from the promotion in Joe Hendry.
Following the advice given to him from former NXT Champion Bobby Roode at Homecoming, Hendry could represent TNA Wrestling and go for the top prize for their rival brand at this joint event.

TNA X-Division Championship: Leon Slater (c) vs. AJ Styles
At TNA Slammiversary, Leon Slater defeated Moose to win the TNA X-Division Championship.
Thanks to this win, Slater made history by becoming the youngest X-Division Champion in TNA Wrestling history.
To add to this special moment, former five-time TNA World Champion and current WWE star AJ Styles made his first appearance in the company in over a decade by coming out to congratulate and endorse Slater.
If WWE NXT and TNA Wrestling do a joint event, Styles vs. Slater has to be at the top of the list of dream matches that may just prove to be unforgettable to every fan watching.
