Over on WWE NXT, Ava has had a pair of assistants by her side for the majority of her run as General Manager.
While this has been the case on NXT, both Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis have stood solo in their similar roles on WWE Raw and SmackDown respectively.
With chaos rising on Friday Night SmackDown with both the MFTs and The Wyatt Sicks, it might be time for Aldis to enlist an assistant to help him maintain order on the blue brand.
Here are seven potential new WWE SmackDown assistants for Nick Aldis.
7. Chelsea Green

During his time as SmackDown General Manager, Nick Aldis has interacted with many stars on the roster.
However, no one has been in Aldis’ office as much as Chelsea Green. The former WWE Women’s United States Champion has often been found requesting a match or opportunity from the SmackDown GM on Fridays.
Having WWE hire Green to be Aldis’ assistant would be viewed as a punishment for the former TNA World Champion if SmackDown becomes too out of hand.
Green could flourish in the role being positioned as a top act that mixes it up with the main event picture and somehow makes keeping control worse for Aldis along the way on SmackDown.

6. The Miz

The Miz has taken on more of an out of the ring role as the tag team partner and occasional manager for Carmelo Hayes.
Following Hayes letting him down easy in regards to their partnership, The Miz delivered the Skull Crushing Finale to Hayes on the stage on the October 3 edition of Friday Night SmackDown.
After their split, ‘The A-Lister’ could look to improve upon his position on the brand by getting in an authority figure role.
With his legacy and tenure in the company, The Miz has an excellent case to become the assistant to Nick Aldis as SmackDown General Manager and bring his own take on the position, while using the power to his advantage along the way.

5. Ava

In 2023, Ava moved from her managerial and in-ring role with The Schism and transitioned to an authority figure role.
The Rock’s daughter has not lived off the name of her Hollywood megastar father and has tried to pave her own path as the NXT General Manager.
Having control of the brand, Ava has put her own spin on the role and left her mark on NXT.
If WWE thinks she is ready for a main roster run, Ava could debut as the assistant to Nick Aldis as SmackDown GM and start her ascent to his role.

4. Kit Wilson

Kit Wilson has had to stand on his own since his tag team partner Elton Prince suffered an injury earlier this year.
Having served as a heel foil for some of the babyfaces in backstage segments, Wilson has started getting featured a bit on Friday Night SmackDown.
With his toxic masculinity claims to the rest of the roster including Damian Priest, Wilson might be better served being this character in a prominent position on the show.
Considering Pretty Deadly is on hiatus with Prince’s injury, Wilson could become the new assistant for Nick Aldis on SmackDown and get the chance to interact with the top babyfaces on the brand.

3. Lexis King

Since arriving in WWE back in 2023, Lexis King has become one of the regularly featured parts of the NXT brand.
The second generation star has grown into his character and continued the progression from his time in All Elite Wrestling under his real name of Brian Pillman Jr.
After two years with the NXT brand, WWE might want to give King an opportunity to shine on the main roster.
Lexis King has the smarmy heel feel of a young Johnny Nitro had when he was assistant to Eric Bischoff on Raw in the 2000s that could work alongside a more stoic Nick Aldis on SmackDown in 2025.

2. Kiana James

Over the past few weeks, fans have seen Kiana James make her return to WWE from a serious leg injury.
James has become the representative for current WWE Women’s United States Champion Giulia.
While this partnership is still new, it could be just the start of James completely taking over Friday Night SmackDown.
Kiana James moving from Giulia’s representation to Nick Aldis# GM assistant role would be a major boost for her career and allow her to quickly elevate up the ladder in WWE.

1. Grayson Waller

Over on Monday Night Raw, Grayson Waller has aligned with The New Day after his tag team partner Austin Theory went down with an injury to put their A-Town Down Under pairing to bed.
Since arriving on the WWE main roster, Waller has proven to be the thorn in the side of any authority figure he interacts with, including Nick Aldis during his time on SmackDown.
Making Waller move back to the blue brand could be a great way for WWE to give him the opportunity to find solid footing as a singles competitor.
Wanting to elevate him up the card, WWE could give Waller the role of assistant to Nick Aldis as SmackDown GM where he would be immediately placed in a spot that allows him to interact with top stars like Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton and Damian Priest.
