WrestleMania 42 will be the conclusion of the past year of WWE and will open the door for new signings to come into the company.

Whether it be those already on the free agency market or stars who will become available in the coming months, WWE could bring in a number of new names following ‘The Show of Shows.’

Whether it be on the WWE main roster or the NXT brand, there are a great deal of talent who can come and make an immediate impact in the promotion moving forward.

Here are seven new potential WWE signings after WrestleMania 42.

7. Leon Slater

In 2025, Leon Slater made his WWE debut and started being regularly featured on the NXT brand.

Forming a tag team with Je’Von Evans, Slater impressed WWE fans with his aerial exploits and in-ring prowess despite being only 21 years old.

Then in 2026, The Young OG challenged Oba Femi for the NXT Championship and also made his SmackDown debut in a strong showing against Carmelo Hayes in the United States Title Open Challenge.

After becoming one of the fastest rising stars in TNA Wrestling over the past two years, Slater feels like a no-brainer signing for WWE when he becomes available in 2026.

6. Mike Santana

Speaking of TNA Wrestling, Mike Santana has become one of the biggest stars on the company’s roster.

The two-time TNA World Champion sits atop of the promotion and has become one of the most popular names among the fans.

Santana has also become no stranger to WWE television with his most recent appearance coming on the March 31 edition of NXT from Madison Square Garden.

With his ability in the ring, on the mic and as a character, Santana feels ready made for a WWE run when he becomes a free agent later this year.

5. Zilla Fatu

Making his in-ring debut in 2023, Zilla Fatu has become one of the most prominent stars on the independent scene today.

Traveling all around the world, Fatu has made his mark in multiple promotions, such as House of Glory and Reality of Wrestling.

The Bloodline family member has made it no secret that he envisions a future in WWE one day.

Joining the likes of Roman Reigns, The Usos, Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu, Zilla would be a wonderful addition to the WWE roster and the Samoan family dynasty that has dominated the promotion over the past few decades.

4. Anna Jay

In 2020, Anna Jay signed with All Elite Wrestling and established herself as one of the consistently featured female stars on the roster until recently.

While she has been a dependable in-ring performer, Jay has not been seen on AEW television since November 2025.

Recent reports have indicated that Anna Jay is set to become a free agent when her AEW deal expires in 2026.

Considering the wealth of talent on the WWE NXT roster and the success of other AEW names on the brand, Jay feels like someone who would fit in nicely with the likes of Blake Monroe, Tatum Paxley and Lola Vice on Tuesday nights in the future.

3. EVIL

Following NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 20, it was revealed that EVIL was leaving New Japan Pro Wrestling after 15 years with the promotion.

Reports circulated that the former IWGP Heavyweight Champion was looking to explore his options outside of Japan.

Then, it was revealed that EVIL was expected to sign with WWE, but there has been no confirmation that is official at the time of this writing.

After several months away from the limelight, EVIL could emerge as the newest WWE signing to start his journey with the company following WrestleMania 42.

2. Hiromu Takahashi

Another recent NJPW departure saw Hiromu Takahashi leave the promotion after his own 15 year run with the company.

Known as one of the greatest junior heavyweights of all time, many fans were surprised to learn of ‘The Ticking Time Bomb’ exiting the promotion.

Recent reports have indicated that Takahashi is also expected to sign with WWE despite not being official at this time.

With his skills inside the squared circle and undeniable charisma, Hiromu feels like someone who has what it takes to be an instant hit on WWE TV if he signs after WrestleMania 42.

1. Paige

For over the past year, Saraya has remained a free agent after leaving All Elite Wrestling in March 2025.

The former AEW Women’s World Champion has made it no secret that she is open to making her return to WWE after over four years away from the promotion.

Saraya once again becoming Paige feels inevitable at this point in a case of “when” not “if” she returns to WWE.

Paige re-signing after WrestleMania 42 could place her in a prominent spot where she can rekindle rivalries with the likes of AJ Lee, Becky Lynch or Charlotte Flair soon after her return.
