While AEW Dynamite continues as entertaining as ever, it could be that a new on-screen authority figure could mix things up.
From somewhat forgotten legends who remain signed to AEW but not on TV very much,
Here are six potential new AEW Dynamite General Managers.
6. Paul Wight

One of AEW’s most talented entertainers who may be returning to a bigger on-screen role soon is Paul Wight.
Recently stunning fans by showing off his impressive physique on social media, some speculated that he could be returning to in-ring action.
While he was eventually pop-up on AEW commentary, perhaps more on-screen appearances are on the way for the former Big Show.
With a legendary career that spans across WCW, WWE and now AEW, Wight certainly could be positioned as an industry expert but most importantly, is very entertaining.

5. Beth Copeland

One potentially compelling new General Manager figure on AEW Dynamite could be Beth Copeland (fka Beth Phoenix).
After making her AEW debut at All Out on September 20, Beth Copeland has yet to make a major return to the brand.
However, if she were to be introduced as a brand new AEW Dynamite GM, it could be an amazing move.
With the WWE Hall of Famer could certainly make calls across the roster, her likely feud with Stokely Hathaway would make for a tremendous storyline.

4. Sting

An AEW legend in addition to his expansive career throughout professional wrestling, Sting could be an amazing Dynamite GM.
Certainly an imposing figure, Sting could become a very fun new on-screen character through his role as an authority figure.
Able to appear on-screen as a version of himself, rather than his heavily face-painted longstanding character — there could be some very intriguing moments left.
With Darby Allin recently picking up a fair amount of abuse from the duo of new additions from NJPW, Gabe Kidd and Clark Connors, Sting could become the perfect ally at the right time.

3. Bryan Danielson

One name that could be the perfect AEW Dynamite GM may be Bryan Danielson.
While Danielson has been off of TV as of late with reports that the weekly travel quite strenuous on his neck, it may be that he doesn’t appear in-person at Dynamite weekly.
In what could be a fun homage and quirky throwback to the widely panned anonymous WWE Raw GM who controlled the show from a laptop for nearly a year.
While AEW could certainly have a modern take on the 2010 storyline, rather than sending anonymous emails that are read aloud by a commentator — AEW could have Danielson patching in via video call.

2. Jeff Jarrett

One AEW star that hasn’t seen a lot of action as an on-screen character as of late is Jeff Jarrett.
Certainly with the legendary status to join the on-screen conflict with confidence, perhaps there is a new role for Double J on the horizon.
Initially presented as a babyface foil to the likes of the dastardly AEW World Champion MJF, there could eventually be a big betrayal of the roster.
If Jarrett were to later become a dastardly and sadistic authority figure, it could create a lot of intriguing stories.

1. Chris Jericho

As long as Chris Jericho remains off of TV, he is seemingly likely to pop-up in any company at any time.
With Jericho’s band Fozzy already set for a UK tour throughout the month of February, all eyes are now on a potential return at either WWE Elimination Chamber on February 28, unless a massive swerve is ahead.
In what could be an amazing ruse all along, Jericho may be continuing along with AEW and set to return at AEW Revolution in Los Angeles on March 15.
What could be a shocking moment, if Jericho not only returned to AEW but assumed a massive new role of authority (albeit as an on-screen character), it could be massively entertaining.
