From former WWE stars that have already left the company to free agents available for work, there could be some new faces on the AEW roster soon.

Here are six new potential AEW signings.

6. Beth Copeland

WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix at AEW All Out

AEW All Out 2025 saw the reunion of Christian Cage and Adam Copeland as a tag team, and also a surprise appearance by Copeland’s wife, WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix, who used the name Beth Copeland.

While the conclusion of Adam Copeland and Christian Cage’s match against FTR at AEW All Out 2025 was a victory, the post-match angle sealed the storyline with a shocking defeat.

With Adam handcuffed and unable to intervene, FTR would go on to deliver a spike piledriver onto Beth. After a segment on Dynamite where Adam informed Cage he needed to take time away for his family, FTR haven’t let up in the interim.

Continuing to mock the situation, it seems likely that FTR and Stokely will face comeuppance for their actions sooner rather than later.

5. Michael Oku

One potential new signing to AEW that doesn’t come from WWE is UK indie star Michael Oku.

Having appeared for AEW in the past, the British star could be making his way back stateside and officially signing with the company.

Michael Oku most recently appeared in AEW at AEW Forbidden Door 2025 teaming with JetSpeed to take on Ricochet and the Gates of Agony.

In what could prove to be an exciting reunion of a fan favorite WWE stable in AEW, Cedric Alexander could make his way to All Elite Wrestling soon.

It was recently reported that Alexander’s TNA contract was a short-term deal that was set to be up around the time of TNA Bound for Glory on October 12.

The Hurt Syndicate (Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin and MVP) could be in need of a new member to combat Ricochet’s group The Demand, and Alexander would make the perfect addition given his past affiliation with the Syndicate in WWE.

Seemingly able to debut at any point for AEW, Alexander’s appearance would be a fun surprise for fans of the pandemic era stable.

Potentially making a debut as a surprise open challenge opponent to Mercedes Mone and the TBS Championship, Kai could be arriving on the scene in AEW soon.

Mercedes Mone has also been clear that she would like to find a tag team partner to help her pick up another belt to add to her collection by winning the AEW Women’s Tag Team Championship.

Potentially able to join forces with Mercedes if they don’t find themselves to be rivals, Dakota Kai is a decorated tag team technician in addition to her singles achievements.

2. Dragon Lee

While he joined NXT with much fanfare, Dragon Lee’s trajectory on the main roster stalled a bit over the past year.

According to a report when he first signed with WWE, Dragon Lee’s contract was for three years and would see him with the company through 2025.

1. Shotzi Blackheart

WWE star Shotzi

Since departing WWE, Shotzi Blackheart has taken her in-ring talents to the indies where she has already made a big impact in GCW, MLW and others.

Blackheart could be a great surprise opponent for Mercedes Mone without necessarily committing to becoming All Elite on a full-time basis.

Potentially popping up for a few special appearances, Shotzi could bring her charismatic chaos to the upcoming fight to become inaugural AEW Women’s Tag Team Champions.

Also able to join forces with Athena, the duo could potentially repeat their WWE NXT Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament win from 2021 which saw them capture the NXT Women’s Tag Team Title together.
