WWE officially acquired Lucha Libre AAA very recently after announcing their purchase of the Mexican promotion ahead of WrestleMania 41 earlier this year.

Since then, various WWE stars have been able to appear on AAA events and make their presence known in the company – with TripleMania XXXIII seeing WWE stars featured up and down the card.

Now that AAA is officially under the WWE banner, there should be even more talent who make more of a permanent home in Mexico where they could become champions and play prominent roles in the promotion.

Here are more WWE stars to potentially join AAA.

8. Omos

At AAA TripleMania XXXIII, Omos won the Copa Bardahl Cup in the Copa Bardahl battle royal.

In his first appearance in the company, “The Nigerian Giant” stood out from the pack based on his unreal size, strength and power.

Dominating in this bout, Omos received one of the bigger reactions of WWE talents who appeared on the show.

Omos could make Lucha Libre AAA his new home where his star will be on the rise and get some new opportunities.

7. The LWO (Cruz Del Toro & Joaquin Wilde)

Ever since WWE acquired Lucha Libre AAA, The LWO have been some of the WWE stars who have been used the most.

Whether it be for WWE & AAA Worlds Collide or over in Mexico, Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde have shown that they translate very well to the lucha libre stylings in Mexico.

The LWO joining the AAA tag team division would be to their benefit where they could stand out much more than they do on Monday Night Raw.

With Psycho Clown and Pagano recently dethroning Los Garza for the AAA World Tag Team Championships, The LWO could present some intriguing new challengers for the champions.

6. Apollo Crews

Considering AAA is now under the WWE banner, the promotion could give some talent lower on the card a new place to ply their trade.

Apollo Crews has been on the sidelines with a torn pectoral muscle since January, but before this, the former Intercontinental Champion was rarely used on WWE TV.

Crews has the size, skills and physique that could make him more of a breakout star outside WWE than he is in the company.

Giving Apollo a fresh start of sorts, Lucha Libre AAA could better utilize someone like Crews and help to bolster their roster greatly.

5. Otis

At AAA TripleMania XXXIII, Otis made his Lucha Libre AAA debut during the Copa Bardahl battle royal.

Receiving a loud pop from the fans in Mexico City, the Alpha Academy member showcased his unbreakable connection with audiences all around the world.

Otis making Lucha Libre AAA his new home would be logical after this performance and allow him the chance to be a bigger star in another promotion.

Seeing how well this debut went, Otis to AAA feels like a no-brainer and a move that would see him propelled higher up the card.

4. Pete Dunne

Despite not being seen consistently on WWE television, Pete Dunne has been very busy behind the scenes helping with the company’s recent acquisition of Lucha Libre AAA.

“The Bruiserweight” has reportedly been working as a producer for the promotion and been someone called upon to help the stars on the AAA roster to get acclimated to the WWE style.

With Dunne working so close with the company, it makes sense for the former NXT Tag Team Champion to step in the squared circle over in Mexico.

Dunne competing against the likes of El Hijo del Vikingo and Psycho Clown would allow him to once again get the spotlight once again.

3. Natalya

At AAA TripleMania XXXIII, Lady Flammer defeated Faby Apache and Natalya to retain the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship.

Post match, Natalya and Faby got into a pull-apart brawl over suffering this loss during the bout.

During this event, Natalya showcased her “Lowkey Legend” persona, coming out in all black with her fight team by her side.

Natalya could solidify this new, more serious character in Lucha Libre AAA where she has the opportunity to firmly establish the company’s women’s division like she’s done in the past for WWE.

2. Santos Escobar

At WWE & AAA Worlds Collide, Legado Del Fantasma defeated Psycho Clown, Pagano and El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr.

Since this victory, Santos Escobar has teased wanting more from Lucha Libre AAA. This led to Los Garza’s Angel and Berto winning the AAA World Tag Team Championships.

With his stablemates holding gold in the promotion, Escobar might want to join and target one of the singles titles in AAA.

Whether it be the AAA Mega Championship or Latin American Championship, Santos might become a threat to every titleholder in the company.

1. El Grande Americano

At AAA TripleMania XXXIII, El Hijo del Vikingo defeated Dominik Mysterio, Dragon Lee and El Grande Americano to retain the AAA Mega Championship.

Ever since making his debut in AAA, Americano has translated well to the Mexican audience and even sang his own song on his way to the ring for his recent title match.

The masked luchador feels more at home in Lucha Libre AAA than he has on WWE Raw as of late.

Americano eventually challenging Vikingo to a singles match could be enough to have the luchador stay a little longer in AAA.
