With GUNTHER capturing victory over AJ Styles to end his career at the Royal Rumble 2026 in Riyadh, he has seemingly made history.
Continuing his streak as a ‘career killer’ after being the final match for Goldberg, John Cena and now AJ Styles, there could be more big names in WWE set to be retired by GUNTHER.
Here are six more WWE stars that could be retired by GUNTHER.
6. The Miz
A two-time WWE Grand Slam Champion, The Miz is certainly a tenured WWE star that continues to entertain fans worldwide.
After his warm reception in Riyadh at the Royal Rumble 2026, a Miz babyface run to cap off his career when the time comes doesn’t seem too unlikely.
With all of his accolades and now the respect of the fans, Miz could look to survive GUNTHER’s career-killing spree.
In being another legend retired by the Austrian, The Miz would hopefully have had another opportunity to show his in-ring skills ahead of a final farewell.

5. Brock Lesnar
Brock Lesnar also seems to be nearing the end of his WWE career.
Some reports have noted his contract runs out this year, meaning he could be about to kick off a retirement run of his own.
Lesnar vs GUNTHER was originally planned to take place at WrestleMania 40, so it’s a match WWE has had its eyes on for quite some time.
With the opportunity for Lesnar to have a retirement match at SummerSlam in his hometown of Minneapolis, The Beast could be another name added to GUNTHER’s list of killed careers.

4. Randy Orton
While Randy Orton shows no signs of slowing down right now, we could see him depart WWE in the next several years.
Able to face off against The Ring General on his way out of WWE, the Viper could have a fun and more in-depth feud with GUNTHER.
Cementing his place in history, ending the career of the beloved veteran and first ballot Hall of Famer Randy Orton would be a major accomplishment for GUNTHER.
Orton had a spectacular showing in the Royal Rumble 2026, making it to the final four alongside GUNTHER, Logan Paul and winner Roman Reigns, possibly planting the seeds for this larger storyline.

3. Shinsuke Nakamura
Another WWE star that could be headed for an impending departure is Shinsuke Nakamura.
While he may or may not elect to entirely retire from in-ring competition at the end of his current WWE contract, he could still see his final WWE match in the near future against GUNTHER.
With the potential for a storyline to spring forth from GUNTHER ‘retiring’ AJ Styles at Royal Rumble 2026, Shinsuke Nakamura could find himself embroiled in a feud with The Ring General.
In the end, he could certainly end up joining the illustrious list of other performers who have found their careers ended by GUNTHER.

2. R-Truth
R-Truth is another WWE legend who could fall to the retiring spree of GUNTHER.
Fan and talent demand brought R-Truth back to WWE last year, and despite an initial run as Ron Killings, he remains a popular name in his current incarnation.
Truth is closer to the end of his career than the beginning, and it would be somewhat poetic for his career to end in a very similar way to John Cena.
After Truth spent months engaging with Cena during Cena’s retirement tour, GUNTHER could look to end Truth’s career in the exact same manner he did Cena’s.

1. CM Punk
Another former WWE Champion who could find himself retired by GUNTHER in the future is CM Punk.
While it may not end up occurring in the very near future, CM Punk’s career could be wrapping up within the next several years.
Potentially putting off another showdown with GUNTHER again until the closer to the end of Punk’s run in WWE, there could end up being a final match between the pair.
With GUNTHER looking to expand the list of names he has taken down with his ‘career killer’ moniker, the addition of Punk’s name to that list would be major.
