Over the course of the past decade, there have been multiple former TNA World Champions who have gone on to sign with WWE.

From AJ Styles and Robert Roode to Nick Aldis and Penta, these former champions have gone to fill different roles on WWE TV over the past few years.

Looking at the current landscape of TNA Wrestling and the free agency market, there are several different talents who could one day join WWE sooner rather than later.

Here are seven former TNA World Champions to potentially sign with WWE.

7. Joe Hendry

Debuting in WWE back in May 2024, Joe Hendry immediately took the company and audience by storm.

Going on to make his way to the main roster, Hendry would make a pair of shocking appearances at WWE Royal Rumble 2025 and WrestleMania 41.

After winning the TNA World Championship in January, Hendry became one of the faces of the company and further integrated himself as one of the most popular stars in the business today.

Whenever he becomes available as a free agent at the end of his TNA contract, Hendry seems like a no-brainer to sign with WWE immediately thereafter.

6. Matt Hardy

Back in February, The Hardys made their return to WWE for the first time in several years as part of the multi-year partnership with TNA Wrestling.

Despite his claim that their time appearing in WWE was done for the time being, Matt Hardy seemed certain that they would make a return to the company one more time.

While Hardy has won tag team championship gold in multiple promotions, he is also a former two-time TNA World Champion.

Whether it is with his brother Jeff or on his own, it feels inevitable that Matt will make his way back in the fold for WWE to close his career.

5. Jeff Hardy

Meanwhile, Jeff Hardy has undergone a career renaissance after a failed run in All Elite Wrestling from 2022 to 2024.

“The Charismatic Enigma” is on his third stint with TNA Wrestling where he is a former three-time TNA World Champion.

Now that he is back with Matt Hardy in TNA after leaving AEW, Jeff has seemed more focus on making the most of this chance in the pro wrestling business.

Another TNA Wrestling star who has competed in several different matches on WWE NXT is Moose.

The current TNA X-Division Champion put on a showstealing bout against Oba Femi for the NXT Championship at WWE Roadblock back in March.

With his impressive look and versatility inside the squared circle, The System member feels like someone who could potentially shine under the WWE umbrella.

Signing with WWE feels like the logical next step in the career of the former NFL player and could see Moose become a top star for the NXT brand almost immediately.

In January, Masha Slamovich made a brief appearance in the crowd on an episode of WWE NXT.

The current TNA Knockouts World Champion has yet to compete inside a WWE ring since then and has instead wrestled all over the world.

Whether it be in TNA or across the independent scene, Slamovich has appeared for multiple promotions, facing a who’s who of talent around the industry.

Looking at her exceptional resume and experience competing all over the world, Masha has everything it takes to bolster the WWE women’s division in Raw, SmackDown or NXT.

2. Steve Maclin

Recent reports have indicated that former TNA World Champion Steve Maclin is in a contract year and could become a free agent by the end of 2025.

Maclin has reignited his career coming over to TNA Wrestling after a stunted run in WWE, most notably as part of The Forgotten Sons faction.

The current TNA International Champion has become one of the top stars and consistently reliable performer for the promotion.

After four years in TNA Wrestling rebuilding his career and reputation, Maclin could make a return to WWE where he could find himself in a better position moving forward.

1. Gail Kim

Back in March, Gail Kim was let go from TNA Wrestling after a 14-year tenure with the company and working as a member of the creative team.

The inaugural and seven-time TNA Knockouts World Champion was recently seen backstage at a WWE NXT taping.

This led to various reports and rumors indicating that Kim could potentially sign with WWE to fill a backstage role for the company.

Gail Kim signing with WWE could be a crucial acquisition, one that would greatly help the women’s division on any of the three brands.
