In 2026, Andrade El Idolo made his return to All Elite Wrestling and has emerged as one of the fastest rising stars in the company.
Following in Andrade’s footsteps, there could be even more former AEW stars who make a comeback to the promotion in the coming weeks and months.
From those who have reinvented themselves to those who were in WWE and have since left to go elsewhere, there are a variety of names that have made a name for themselves in AEW who could make a return soon.
Here are six former AEW stars to potentially return to the company.
6. KJ Orso

Back in 2021, Fuego Del Sol signed with All Elite Wrestling and was mostly used as an enhancement talent during his time with the company.
Leaving the promotion in 2023, Fuego decided to go back to the independent scene to try to reinvent himself.
While he was able to put on stellar matches and steal the show on many events, it wasn’t until he was unmasked and went by his real name of KJ Orso that things started to change for him.
Now widely regarded as one of the best heels in GCW and across the indies, Orso could walk back into AEW as a changed man and be more motivated than ever to make his presence known in the promotion in a more meaningful way.

5. Bea Priestley

Bea Priestley was one of the first female stars featured in All Elite Wrestling when the company was created in 2019.
Priestley’s run in the promotion did not last too long as she would depart in 2020 and eventually sign with WWE.
Becoming Blair Davenport, Priestley had a solid run on WWE NXT and NXT UK and was called up to SmackDown before she was released in February 2025.
While she has returned to STARDOM and looks to be settled as one of the top gaijins for the company, Priestley could also return to AEW where she has the experience and poise to be a wonderful addition to the women’s scene in the company.

4. Matt Taven

In January 2026, Matt Taven was one of the names included in departing stars from All Elite Wrestling after his contract with the company expired.
During his run with the promotion, Taven had mostly been featured in his Kingdom tag team with Mike Bennett on both AEW and Ring of Honor television.
Taven is one of the most decorated stars on the free agency market, being a former ROH World Champion, three-time ROH World Tag Team Champion and the inaugural as well as three-time ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champion.
Taven re-signing with AEW would be interesting to see if he can be better utilized than his first stint with the company as a solo act.

3. Abadon

During the ROH and MPX Global Wars event, Abadon made their return to Ring of Honor for the first time in over a year.
Known as “The Undead Girl,” Abadon had a unique and eccentric character in AEW that always stood out from the pack.
Since leaving AEW and ROH in 2025, Abadon has made a few appearances on independent shows, but has not made anywhere their new home.
Looking to get a second stint with the company, there might be some intrigue in using Abadon’s distinct persona more consistently in both All Elite Wrestling and Ring of Honor moving forward.

2. Joey Janela

There might not be a more experienced and talented performer on the independent scene today quite like Joey Janela.
Signing with All Elite Wrestling back in 2019, Janela looked to be one of the stalwarts of the promotion at that time.
Known for being not only a smart wrestler but also a skilled promoter with his signature Spring Break shows, there was a lot of interest behind Janela when he initially signed with AEW, but he eventually departed the promotion when his deal expired in 2022.
Since then, Janela has returned to the indies and has been prominently featured in GCW. With his girlfriend Megan Bayne becoming one of the biggest female stars in the company, it might be time for Janela to join her back in AEW for a second run.

1. The Good Brothers (Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson)

While they were never signed to the company, The Good Brothers became part of the main event scene in All Elite Wrestling after making their debut in early 2021.
As part of The Super Elite with Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson were consistently featured on AEW Dynamite and positioned near the top of the card.
At that time, The Good Brothers were signed to TNA Wrestling, but they would go on to return to WWE for a second stint that only lasted over two years.
Since their release in February 2025, The Good Brothers have returned to the indies and in promotions like MLW, so they could come back into AEW for a second run with a contract being signed this time around.
