WWE is set to host it’s next SNME show next weekend, with a special Sunday Night’s Main Event taking place in Atlanta, Georgia.
The card currently features three attractions on the show, with the major first ever clash between Bron Breakker and Oba Femi set for the show, as well as a WrestleMania 42 rematch between Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes and the in-ring debut of Lil Yachty.
With only three matches set for the show, there are still more matches we could see be added before next weekend.
Here are some final matches we could see added to WWE Sunday Night’s Main Event.
Blake Monroe vs. Giulia
On last week’s episode of SmackDown, WWE did a bait and switch angle with the debut of Blake Monroe.
After already taking 4 months for the Glamour to even tease getting into the ring, her announced debut match against Giulia never got underway after Blake jumped Giulia during her entrance.
While Blake said she is waiting for her debut to be for the WWE Women’s Championship, that will almost certainly not fly with Nick Aldis, with her debut against Giulia likely coming at a later date.
Adding Giulia vs. Blake to SNME would be a way to show that they haven’t been completely forgotten by creative.
Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss & Tatum Paxley vs. Jade Cargill, Michin & B-Fab
Tatum Paxley would make her WWE main roster debut on the SmackDown show after SummerSlam, when she came to the aid of Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss against Jade Cargill, Michin and B-Fab.
Tatum is set to make her in-ring debut against Michin this week on SmackDown, which will hopefully finally set up the blow off match to this angle.
Back in May, Jade, Michin, B-Fab, Charlotte and Alexa were all part of a six-woman tag team match at Saturday Night’s Main Event, this time simply with Rhea Ripley subbed out for Tatum Paxley.
SmackDown’s women’s booking has been a mess this year, and hopefully this can allow all women to move onto other things.
WWE Women’s Championship – Chelsea Green (c) vs. Nia Jax
After winning the Interim WWE Women’s Championship at SummerSlam, Chelsea Green suffered an orbital bone injury that led to speculation about her status going forward.
However, Chelsea has been cleared to compete, with her and Tiffany Stratton teaming against Nia Jax and Lash Legend on this week’s SmackDown show.
With Chelsea now cleared to compete, it seems clear that her first challenger is Nia Jax following Nia’s recent attacks on both Chelsea and Tiffany on SmackDown.
Sunday Night’s Main Event would be a nice place for Chelsea to get her first defence under her belt.
Royce Keys & OTM vs. The Usos & Jacob Fatu
A major angle took place to close last night’s WWE Raw, when Royce Keys made his return during the Usos vs. LA Knight and Solo Sikoa main event.
Keys didn’t come alone, as he was joined by Bronco Nima and Lucien Price of OTM, with the three men laying out everyone in their sight.
With LA Knight seemingly the next in line for a shot at Roman Reigns’ World Heavyweight Championship, that will leave the rest of the Bloodline free to deal with Keys and OTM.
Debuting the new group in a six-man tag at SNME would be a nice spotlight for them.
Undisputed WWE Championship Number One Contender’s Match – Finn Balor vs. Gunther vs. Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn
At Saturday Night’s Main Event in Madison Square Garden, Sami Zayn was once again screwed out of his chance to become Undisputed WWE Championship number one contender.
In the weeks since, many faces have continued to sniff around the title, including Sami, Kevin Owens, Finn Balor and Gunther.
With no one man standing ahead of the rest of the pack, Sunday Night’s Main Event would be the perfect place to run a major four-way between them all, with the winner facing CM Punk next.
