After making a dramatic debut at WWE Elimination Chamber 2026, fans are wondering what might be in store for Danhausen at WrestleMania 42.
Able to forge brand new rivalries that range from absolute silliness to displays of actual technical mastery in the end, Danhausen could find himself making a huge impact in his first ever WrestleMania this April in Las Vegas.
Here are seven potential WWE WrestleMania 42 opponents for Danhausen.
7. Rusev
Although briefly, Rusev did interact with the mystery box backstage when it was on WWE Raw in his pursuit of a meeting with Adam Pearce.
Although Rusev seemingly hasn’t been taken seriously by the WWE Raw GM, perhaps to make a statement about his frustrations with booking, Rusev could be poised to take it out on Danhausen.
A character that could be delightfully unamused by Danhausen’s antics, Rusev could find himself chasing Danhausen throughout the road to WrestleMania only to finally end up in a match with him.
While Danhausen would succeed at escaping Rusev, by the time they’d go one-on-one at WrestleMania 42, he could show off that he does in fact have solid in-ring abilities – even if he ultimately falls to Rusev in the end, being remotely competitive would be a big moment for the brand new star.

6. Grayson Waller with The New Day
The perfect WWE WrestleMania 42 opponent for Danhausen could be Grayson Waller, with plenty of time for the pair to have a heated rivalry.
With the road to WrestleMania 42 certainly a fun time of the year, it could be that introducing a new character through a feud with a universally despised one is the perfect route.
Danhausen would easily be able to irritate both Waller and potentially the rest of The New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods), giving them a target as well.
While Woods remains out of in-ring action, sending Waller & Woods after Danhausen could be the perfect use of the duo while perhaps freeing up Kingston for a more serious in-ring singles match at WrestleMania 42 with the likes of Dragon Lee, Je’Von Evans or Penta.

5. JD McDonagh
Although the Judgment Day stuck to their word and did not get involved in Finn Balor’s match against CM Punk at WWE Elimination Chamber, the moment may have inspired a change in Balor.
Certainly seeming to come across as a babyface by the end of the post-match handshake of respect between Punk and Balor, it may be that Finn is headed for his own babyface turn against Dominik Mysterio.
With the Judgment Day potentially imploding, it could be a perfect juxtaposition to see Danhausen sneaking around the Clubhouse, delivering curses and earning the frustration of JD McDonagh.
Able to put on a compelling in-ring performance by the time WrestleMania 42 rolls around, the bout could serve to demonstrate both that Danhausen ‘”can go” but also that McDonagh has a lot of stories left to tell even if his faction falls apart.

4. Mr. Iguana
While some fans expected Danhausen to set up residency in NXT or AAA, it does seem that his main roster debut could suggest he’ll be sticking around on WWE Raw or SmackDown.
However, that would not rule out some future interaction with Mr Iguana that could lead to a major battle between the two facepainted gimmicks.
A feud that would be fantastic for not only WWE’s youngest fans but also fun-loving fans that are young at heart, the pair could have a perfectly ridiculous feud leading to a major moment in Las Vegas.

With Ethan Page losing his NXT North American Championship on the latest episode of WWE NXT to Myles Borne, it may be that he is on the verge of a main roster call-up.
While Page and Danhausen didn’t particularly have a long history on-screen in AEW, their real life friendship has played out and been followed by fans through their respective vlogs.
Able to launch Page on the main roster as having immediately to deal with the persistent pest of Danhausen, both men would be endeared to audiences quickly.
Giving Page the perfect victim to bully, Danhausen could quickly find himself with fans endeared to his lovable yet bizarre behavior through the lens of loving to troll the overly serious heel Ethan Page.

2. Cody Rhodes
After a devastating loss in the Elimination Chamber match, the path for Cody Rhodes to WrestleMania 42 isn’t entirely clear.
With a compelling backstage angle after the show featuring SmackDown GM Nick Aldis angrily confronting Drew McIntyre, their conflict spilled over to the post-show stage.
Aldis announced that Drew McIntyre would be putting the Undisputed WWE Championship on the line against Rhodes on the March 6 edition of SmackDown, which could certainly shift the landscape of the current WrestleMania 42 card.
While quite unlikely that Rhodes ends up entirely empty handed in all his current feuds and ends up tangling with Danhausen in Las Vegas – anything seems possible in professional wrestling.

With a heel turn – or perhaps a psychotic break – seemingly on the verge of happening with Sami Zayn, perhaps the arrival of Danhausen could end up being his last straw.
Able to fully snap and end up having a raucous feud with Danhausen, Zayn could embody all of the most toxic elements of the wrestling fanbases’ cynical reactions to the Very Nice, Very Evil star.
Calling in the criticism, the pair could end up having a silly, fun and emotionally evocative storyline in the end.
With Zayn potentially having a moment of future reckoning about what he has become after attempting to end everyone’s good time every time Danhausen tries to appear on-screen, a WWE WrestleMania moment could end up bringing it all together.
