With Nikki and Brie Bella both back in action in WWE, their eventual retirement program could already be in the planning stages.
With plenty of twists and turns still able to happen ahead for the Bella Twins, there are a lot of intriguing ways to write the popular pair off of WWE TV in two years, as they’ve said they plan for this to be their final run.
Here are seven potential WWE retirement plans for the Bella Twins.
7. Retire The WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship
In an intriguing move, The Bella Twins could end up retiring from WWE on top rather than going on an extended farewell tour.
Since the division is at times seemingly difficult to book in the absence of many established teams rising the ranks of NXT or the main roster together, perhaps the departure of the Bella Twins could also spell the end of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.
It could be replaced by a main roster Mixed Tag Team Championship, a division that is seemingly growing in potential candidates with plenty of main roster pairs.
Leaving the room for the title to always make a return in the future, perhaps The Bella Twins finally capturing the title could lead to a fun run before retirement of their careers and the WWE Women’s Tag Team title.
6. Build Their Own Faction
Perhaps in an effort to build legacy or with more dastardly intentions to take over the WWE women’s division, the Bella Twins could build an amazing faction.
Bringing together the likes of some of WWE’s most over the top personalities, including the likes of Chelsea Green, Blake Monroe or Maxxine Dupri, there could be a super alliance that forms.
Certainly able to serve as mentors to the younger members of the roster, it would seem inevitable that the Bellas’ version of The Vision would lead to the members turning on the twins.
Perhaps going out after a vicious group attack by a faction that they built up over time themselves, the Bella Twins could have a dramatic exit that writes them out of WWE TV.
5. Bella Twins Tag Team Classic
Perhaps the Bella Twins would best be immortalized in WWE by using their retirement storyline to launch a brand new annual tournament.
Since there has yet to be an annual female tag team tournament in WWE or NXT, installing The Bella Twins to oversee the inaugural event themselves could be an amazing lead up to their retirement.
With at least the inaugural version able to offer up a prize of taking on the Bella Twins in action – likely for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship- the legacy could continue in future years.
A final that seems tailor made to occur at any future edition of WWE’s all female pay-per-view, Evolution, the tournament could become an Evolution season staple.

4. Brie Bella vs. Nikki Bella Singles Feud
With one of the biggest feuds of the Bella Twins’ careers being against one another, it might be inevitable that they face-off again.
Certainly able to turn against one another and even make new allies to battle their twin, there could be a lot of fun stories that come from a falling out between Nikki and Brie.
Potentially causing logistical challenges for their shared ventures in the lead up to the retirement since the duo do host a weekly podcast together, they could carry the storyline tension over into their other media ventures for maximum PR impact.
Able to have one final retirement match against one another, it could be a landmark moment for women in wrestling to see the duo showcased ahead of retirement.
3. Fall To A Career Killer
Although the moniker of Career Killer is currently being held exclusively by GUNTHER, it doesn’t mean that there couldn’t be another coming soon.
Certainly able to have a female iteration of the Career Killer gimmick, there are a number of potential interesting prospects.
With NXT stars like Blake Monroe or Zaria fitting the bill, there could be others that come from outside the company to make a big splash.
A potential new character for the seemingly exiled from AEW Anna Jay, she could bring her Queen Slayer character to life in WWE.

2. Total Divas: Next Generation
In a retirement move that would extend beyond just the professional wrestling fandom in a similar manner to John Cena’s departure, there could be a cultural moment for the Bella Twins retirement.
Being able to see a behind the scenes look at the twists and turns that lead up to the Bella Twins’ departure, there would certainly be plenty of familiar faces making cameo appearances in a Total Divas reboot covering their retirement story.
Able to cover the storyline leading to retirement on a potential standalone season of the former Total Divas franchise, being able to demonstrate that there is still a major fan interest in the series.
Possibly leading to a reboot of the signature WWE series on Netflix, there could be an entire new generation of WWE fans drawn in by reality TV.
1. Destroyed By Nattie
While the Bella Twins and Natalya were historically friendly, a solid case could be made for why the latest iteration of the latter would no longer be willing to play nice.
In a stunning way that the Bella Twins could end up retiring from in-ring competition, the duo could take on Nattie in a match that could serve multiple purposes.
Continuing to endear Nattie’s new violent side to the WWE audience, targeting the Bella Twins could also lead to an opportunity for Nikki and Brie to show off their in-ring skills.
Certainly able to put together an exceptional match with Nattie, putting together their swan song as a triple threat match with another legend of the division could be the perfect send-off.
