With MJF now once again the AEW World Champion heading into 2026, he may soon need a new band of allies to help keep him atop the company.
From former allies to brand new alliances, there could a very interesting new group on the verge of forming in AEW.
Here are five AEW stars that could join an MJF faction.
5. Wardlow
While he returned as a new member of the Don Callis Family in August 2025, misfortune would fall Wardlow once again as he suffered an injury during his return sequence.
Hopefully Wardlow’s absence won’t be as long as his previous spell on the sidelines, and rather than returning to make up numbers in the Don Callis Family, perhaps he could instead reunite with his former friend.
Creating a new super alliance, the duo could end up having a lot more power than they did in their past iteration, particularly if MJF is still the AEW World Champion by that point.
With Wardlow’s character needing his own interesting storyline upon his return after a long absence, an alliance with MJF could be the best bet.

4. Hammerstone
With MJF seeking to reclaim his AEW World Championship at all costs, it could be that he calls in some re-enforcements.
Potentially looking to a former ally from the past, Alexander Hammerstone could be a perfect hired gun for MJF.
Bringing not only an impressive stature but also stellar in-ring abilities, he may not stay relegated to a sidekick role for long.
Possibly a move that could come back to haunt him later in his reign, MJF may end up bringing about his own demise by bringing in a dangerous new star.

3. FTR & Stokely Hathaway
Bringing it back to a vintage AEW moment, it could be that MJF reunites will fellow heels FTR.
With Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood retaining the AEW Tag Team Championship at AEW Worlds End, perhaps the duo with their trusted manager will end up joining forces with MJF.
Forming The Pinnacle 2.0 in 2026, FTR could provide invaluable backup for MJF in his reign as AEW World Champion, while Max does his best to ensure that Dax & Cash remain atop the tag team division..
With FTR likely to feud with Christian Cage and Adam Copeland and MJF not likely to get away from Hangman Adam Page easily, there could be some intriguing partnerships spring forth from this alliance.

2. HOOK
In a shocking turn of events, HOOK could once again switch allegiances now that his mentor Samoa Joe is no longer AEW World Champion.
Bringing together two of AEW’s brightest young stars, aligning HOOK with MJF could end up becoming a formidable partnership.
With MJF now the top guy in AEW once again, he could even potentially take the entire Opps with him, leaving Joe without any backup whatsoever.
Since his character has already descended from babyface to heel, perhaps HOOK will enter a new echelon alongside MJF.

1. Triangle of Madness
Now that MJF has captured the AEW World Championship, he is certainly poised to have new friends popping up.
While stylistically completely opposed to MJF, a dangerous trio that could end up proving to be valuable allies for his title reign could be the Triangle of Madness (Skye Blue, Julia Hart & Thekla).
While certainly bringing a different character energy than MJF, the trio could certainly have motivation to run with the new AEW World Champion.
Poised to use the status as their own springboard for opportunities, the union would inevitably be less about MJF and more about girl power in the end.
