AEW Stars To Join New MJF Faction

AEW Stars To Join New MJF Faction

After a long-running storyline of MJF trying to join The Hurt Syndicate earlier this year, it looks like his time in the faction may be short-lived.

On the 23 July edition of AEW Dynamite, Bobby Lashley made it clear he no longer wanted MJF in the group.

His exit could pave the way for the long-rumoured formation of a new faction – or even the resurrection of an old one.

Here are the names we could potentially see join an MJF-led faction.

6. Wardlow

Wardlow has not been seen on AEW programming since March 2024, after reportedly suffering a knee injury.

Now recovered, he’s recently been filming the reboot of American Gladiators.

With filming now wrapped, speculation is growing about an imminent return to AEW.

Upon his return, could we see him reunite with MJF and once again take up his original role of heater?

5. Juice Robinson

Juice Robinson returned to AEW programming at All In, appearing in the Casino Gauntlet match.

The 36-year-old had been out of action since November after suffering an injury during a Continental Classic tournament bout against Will Ospreay.

Sporting a new look, he appears to still be aligned with Jay White’s Bang Bang Gang – but with White still injured and Colton Gunn suffering a serious knee injury on the 19 July edition of Collision, the faction’s future is uncertain.

Best suited as an erratic, wild-eyed henchman, could we see Robinson brought into a new MJF-led faction?

4. Max Caster

Max Caster continues to lose in squash matches most weeks on AEW Collision.

However, the 35-year-old has managed to get the “Best Wrestler Alive Open Challenge” over as an entertaining comedy gimmick.

While his charisma has carried the bit to this point, it’s ultimately a limiting gimmick that will run its course soon.

A logical next step could be aligning Caster with a new MJF faction – making better use of his talent as a oblivious and ignorant heel.

3. Keith Lee

Keith Lee has not wrestled on AEW programming since December 2023, when he defeated Brian Cage on Collision.

Undisclosed injuries have reportedly kept him sidelined, though the 40-year-old tweeted last month that he is now “fine” and simply awaiting a call to return.

A storyline reintroduction through a new MJF-led faction could be the ideal way to bring the athletic heavyweight back into the mix.

A supremely talented worker, could we soon see Lee back on AEW programming – and aligned with MJF?

2. Josh Woods

Josh Woods is currently part of the Premier Athletes faction, appearing predominantly on ROH programming – and has yet to feature on AEW television this year.

However, the 36-year-old clearly has more upside than his current spot in the Khan-verse – he possesses both charisma and a unique MMA-infused in-ring style.

Moving him out of ROH and its entertaining but limiting lower-midcard faction onto the AEW roster full-time would be a more effective use of his talent.

One way to achieve this could be reintroducing the former ROH Pure Champion as part of a new MJF-led faction.

1. FTR

Few additions to a new MJF stable make more sense than FTR.

They were part of MJF’s original AEW faction, The Pinnacle, and FTR’s manager Stokely Hathaway was also aligned with MJF in the short-lived group, The Firm.

Now, with both MJF and FTR seemingly headed into a feud with The Hurt Syndicate – FTR appear the most likely challengers to the Lashley and Benjamin’s Tag Team Championships – their paths appear to be aligning once again.
