With WWE Survivor Series set to take place next month in San Diego, there could be some big swaps to be made before the big event.
From more matches yet to be added to rumored bouts that may need to see some serious changes, it could be an intriguing few weeks ahead of the show.
Here are nine changes that could be made to WWE Survivor Series 2025.
9. Randy Orton Added To Undisputed WWE Championship Match

While there have been reports that the plan for the Undisputed WWE Championship match at Suvivor Series WarGames is set to be Drew McIntyre vs. Cody Rhodes, there are several storyline points to get there.
With the reported plan set to see Jacob Fatu face off against Drew McIntyre on WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event to determine who will face Rhodes at Survivor Series, there could be always be changes.
Potentially injecting Randy Orton into the feud, there could be some surprising interference from The Viper on the night of Survivor Series WarGames.
There could definitely be some questionable actions that cost Cody his title and plant seeds of dissension for the future between the friends.

8. Bianca Belair Returns

Since reports have pointed to yet another title defense from Tiffany Stratton facing Jade Cargill for the upcoming November 1 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event, it seems there could be some movement on SmackDown in the near future.
Potentially ending Stratton’s nearly year long reign at the event, Cargill could find her celebration cut short with a flashback in the form of a returning Bianca Belair.
While Belair has been out of action due to injury since sustaining broken fingers at WrestleMania 41, she has appeared in the interim including being a special guest referee for Cargill’s win over Naomi at Evolution.
With their post-match behavior notably icy, it seemed as though their story wasn’t yet finished but finally could come to a showdown at Survivor Series WarGames.

7. Rey Mysterio Helps John Cena Win Intercontinental Title

Amidst the potential interferences that could occur in an effort to help Dominik Mysterio in his IC title defense against John Cena, perhaps Cena could call in some favors.
Rey Mysterio has been out of action since April when he picked up a groin injury on the SmackDown before WrestleMania 41,
While he remains out of action, he is reportedly set to return soon, but is not currently booked for a match in his hometown of San Diego, CA for the upcoming Survivor Series WarGames event, making for the perfect environment for a massive surprise return.
Further the ever-ongoing feud between Dominik Mysterio and Rey Mysterio – possibly for the AAA Mega Championship now or a Mask vs. Hair match in the future – Rey helping Cena beat Dominik could have long term storyline implications.

6. Dominik Mysterio vs. John Cena Is Anything Goes

There would be no better way for Dominik Mysterio to assume he would be able to continue his reign as WWE Intercontinental Champion than to ensure that he could cheat without recourse.
Being able to utilize all of the interferences that Judgment Day could muster, John Cena could end up facing off with the likes of Finn Balor, JD McDonagh and even Raquel Rodriguez in his attempt to win his first ever IC title.
With vintage Super Cena able to be in full effect, Cena could triumph over a great deal of interferences, hijinks and chicanery to finally secure the last title that has eluded him in WWE.
Completing Cena’s WWE Grand Slam before his retirement is of paramount importance, even if he ends up losing it right back to Mysterio in the near future.

5. New WarGames Teams

While recent reports outlined the planned WWE Survivor Series WarGames team lineups, it could be that a lot has changed.
With Seth Rollins potentially out with injury and The Vision faction turning on him, the duo of Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed may still be on the heel team.
The other names that were originally slated for that team were Brock Lesnar, Austin Theory and the now-injured Rollins.
Potentially having Theory link up with the Brons, it could be that there is only one heel spot needing to be filled – possibly by a heel turn that goes down in the interim.

4. No Roman Reigns

Initial reports about the planned Survivor Series WarGames teams revealed that the babyface squad was set to be made up of CM Punk, Roman Reigns, Jey Uso, Jacob Fatu and either LA Knight or Jimmy Uso.
However, after losing in his Australian Street Fight match against Bronson Reed, Reigns expressed his frustration towards The Usos.
Declaring that he did not want to see them “until Christmas,” it could be that Reigns ends up not joining the babyface team at WarGames at all.
Potentially skipping Survivor Series entirely, Reigns may not return to WWE until after John Cena departs in mid-December.

3. Jey Uso On Heel Team For WarGames

One potential shift that continues to unfurl is that of a heel turn that could be happening with Jey Uso.
With an increased focus on his own goals, Main Event Jey Uso is seemingly losing some of his previous positivity.
Possibly seeing Seth Rollins departing The Vision as an opportunity, the potential to take back the WWE World Heavyweight Championship could be too tempting for Uso.
WWE has a rare chance to do something shocking by having Uso turn heel and join The Vision stable in Seth Rollins’ absence.

2. Stephanie Vaquer vs. Roxanne Perez vs. Bayley For WWE Women’s World Championship

With some indication that this match could be happening sometime soon, it would make sense to see it go down at Survivor Series WarGames.
The rumored WarGames team for the women’s match was reportedly set to feature the babyface team of AJ Lee, Rhea Ripley, Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, and Iyo Sky taking on a heel team of Becky Lynch, Asuka, Kairi Sane, Nia Jax, and NXT’s Lash Legend.
With both Bayley and Roxanne Perez left out of the WarGames plans along with WWE Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer, she could end up defending her title against both women.
Possibly cementing Bayley’s character in advance of the match-up, it could be intriguing to see Vaquer face off against two different heel opponents.

1. World Tag Team Championship TLC Match

While the tag team stars from the SmackDown brand were able to put on an iconic showing during a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match at SummerSlam 2025, it could be the WWE Raw tag team division’s turn.
With the Judgment Day duo of Finn Balor and JD McDonagh possibly still holding on to the titles, the pair could be forced to contend with the likes of The New Day, AJ Styles & Dragon Lee and the Creed Brothers.
Most intriguingly, a potential showing from one of the teams that originated the TLC match and was at ringside at SummerSlam 2025 – Matt & Jeff Hardy.
With the Hardys’ contracts with TNA Wrestling ending in November 2025, it could be that the late-in-the-month date could prove the perfect opportunity for the veteran pair to make a surprise return.
