At the start of 2025, WWE and TNA Wrestling announced a multi-year partnership between the two promotions to create unprecedented crossover opportunities.
This has led to the likes of Joe Hendry, Mike Santana and Ash By Elegance appearing on WWE programming, while Trick Williams, Fatal Influence and Kelani Jordan have made their presence known in TNA.
There have been major changes to TNA Wrestling thanks to this working relationship with WWE that have altered how the wrestling business looks.
Here are eight potential changes to TNA Wrestling due to the WWE partnership.
8. The Presence Of WWE NXT Talent In TNA Wrestling
Ever since announcing this new partnership, TNA Wrestling has seen an influx of WWE NXT talent on its programming.
The likes of Charlie Dempsey and Wes Lee were among the first talents who started to appear on the company’s television.
Now, it seems like a week of TNA IMPACT does not go by without someone from the NXT roster appearing on the show.
From stars winning gold to the ongoing feud between the two brands, WWE NXT’s presence in TNA Wrestling is not going to change anytime soon.

7. Acknowledging TNA History On WWE TV
There are various former TNA stars who are not part of the WWE roster, leaving their own legacies in the company.
Now that the two promotions are working together, it has opened the door for WWE to acknowledge their talents’ past in TNA Wrestling.
Whether it be mentioning Motor City Machine Guns being former multi-time TNA World Tag Team Champions or AJ Styles’ TNA history on display, it has been a stark difference from the past for WWE.
Going from not acknowledging any other promotion to heavily applauding their accomplishments from another, the partnership with TNA has changed a key strategy of WWE moving forward.

6. TNA Wrestling Is Hotter Than It’s Been In Over A Decade
In 2024, the working relationship with WWE and TNA Wrestling got its start with then-TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace appearing in the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble match.
From there, Grace would become an ongoing presence on WWE NXT with the likes of Joe Hendry and The Rascalz joining her.
This led to a major boom in business for TNA Wrestling with their pay-per-views, live events and TV tapings all seeing significant increases.
With the likes of The Hardys and Nic Nemeth joining the company last year, TNA Wrestling is enjoying one of its hottest periods of the last 15 years.

5. WWE Stars Holding TNA Championship Gold
At WWE NXT Battleground 2025, Trick Williams defeated Joe Hendry to win the TNA World Championship.
Becoming the first WWE star to win TNA Wrestling gold, Williams has arguably become the face of another brand.
Following in Trick’s footsteps, Jacy Jayne and Kelani Jordan both captured the TNA Knockouts World Championship in recent months.
With talent now winning titles in the other promotion, it feels like this partnership will remain a prominent fixture for both WWE and TNA Wrestling.

4. TNA Stars Featured On WWE TV
Like previously mentioned, the crossover has not been one sided with just WWE stars showing up on TNA Wrestling television.
From the initial appearances of Jordynne Grace and Joe Hendry to the most recent full-scale invasion on WWE NXT TV, the presence of TNA Wrestling has been prominent throughout the company.
The likes of The Hardys, Moose and The System have all made their mark on NXT and led to the first official co-promotional special between the two brands.
With this NXT & TNA Showdown show coming up, fans will continue to see the stars from IMPACT show up across WWE television in the months to come.

3. WWE NXT & TNA Showdown
Following the WWE NXT Homecoming event, TNA Wrestling talent took to social media to express their displeasure about the company booking a Title vs. Title Winner Takes All match for the NXT Championship and TNA World Championship for the week after.
This led to TNA wrestlers showing up at the Performance Center for the match and getting involved in the aftermath of the Trick Williams vs. Oba Femi Winner Takes All bout.
After discussing for a week, NXT GM Ava and TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella decided to come up with the upcoming Showdown event where the two brands will do battle for supremacy.
WWE NXT & TNA Showdown will be a great way to further enhance the ongoing issues between the two companies and allow the stars the spotlight on this important special.

2. AJ Styles Appearing In TNA Again
After leaving TNA Wrestling in 2014, AJ Styles did not look back and went on to have a successful run in New Japan Pro Wrestling for two years before signing with WWE in 2016.
Since then, Styles has created a new legacy in WWE that is worthy of a Hall of Fame induction, but it still pales in comparison to what he was able to accomplish in TNA.
Considered the greatest in-ring competitor in company history, Styles is a five-time TNA World Champion, two-time TNA World Tag Team Champion and a six-time X-Division Champion.
At TNA Slammiversary 2025, Styles made his return to the company for the first time in over a decade. Now that this has happened, the door is open for ‘The Phenomenal One’ to come back again before he finally retires.

1. TNA Wrestling May Be Getting A TV deal
Since being pulled off of SPIKE TV in 2014, TNA Wrestling has not had a steady, lucrative cable television deal.
Moving around to various homes like Destination America and POP TV, the company finally found a home under their parent company Anthem with AXS TV.
Not available to all the places they want to air, Carlos Silva has said that the promotion is in pursuit of a media rights deal and says they are only a few months away from an announcement.
It would not be an understatement to say that WWE and this ongoing partnership will have to take some credit if TNA Wrestling is finally able to land a new TV deal after 11 years since their presence on SPIKE.
