With all eyes on the company, TNA should have some notable surprises planned to make a mark on its new broadcasting home.

Here are seven potential surprises at the TNA Wrestling IMPACT AMC Network debut.

7. Leon Slater Loses The X-Division Championship To Myron Reed

As of late, fans have been seeing more and more of Leon Slater on WWE television over the past few months.

However, Slater remains the X-Division Champion after becoming the youngest titleholder ever, defeating Moose back at TNA Slammiversary.

With several successful title defenses under his belt, Slater will look to continue his reign with two title bouts scheduled for the AMC Network debut as well as TNA Genesis the following Saturday.

Despite being scheduled to defend the gold against Cedric Alexander and Moose at Genesis, “The Youngest In Charge” might not make it that far and could lose the X-Division Title in a shocker against Myron Reed on the AMC Network debut.

One noteworthy star who recently became a free agent that has eyes on him from the top two promotions is Colby Corino.

After making a name for himself with the National Wrestling Alliance, Corino has showcased his growth as an in-ring competitor and character in a significant manner.

With his experience and being a second generation star, Corino might find his most success heading to TNA Wrestling where he could climb the ladder to the top of the entire promotion after making his arrival on the AMC Network premiere.

5. Dakota Kai Signs With TNA Wrestling

Back in May 2025, WWE had their latest slate of talent cuts with over 16 wrestlers being released from the company.

The most surprising name on the list of WWE releases had to have been Dakota Kai.

The former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion is someone who has long been considered one of the most underrated in-ring performers in the women’s division.

Considering her experience and name recognition, Kai would immediately become a top star in the TNA Knockouts division and could bolster their ranks in short order.

4. Braun Strowman Makes An IMPACT

Braun Strowman has long been one of the largest competitors in the wrestling industry today with a presence unlike many seen in the business.

This is why it came as a bit of a surprise to see Strowman released from WWE for a second time as part of the aforementioned slate of talent cuts in May 2025.

The former WWE Universal Champion had accomplished a lot across two stints with the company and is still being featured on his own reality show in association with the company.

With Strowman on the sidelines looking in since his release, it would make sense to see him head to a place like TNA Wrestling where he could immediately enter the main event picture for the promotion upon arriving on the AMC Network debut.

Another former WWE star who recently became a free agent is EC3. Despite leaving WWE several years ago, EC3 has still found himself in the spotlight.

Over in NWA, EC3 established himself as one of the company’s top stars and a former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion.

After four years with the National Wrestling Alliance, it is clear EC3 might be ready for some new opportunities and could potentially return home.

Heading back to the company where he first truly made a name for himself, EC3 could return to TNA Wrestling on IMPACT’s AMC Network debut and instantly reassert his status as one of the top stars in the promotion today.

Back at TNA Slammiversary 2025, AJ Styles made a surprise appearance and gave a resounding endorsement to current TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater.

This appearance was announced ahead of time and caused a great deal of buzz around the wrestling world.

After breaking his 11 year absence from the company, “The Phenomenal One” could give TNA another rub by making more of a shocking appearance on the AMC Network premiere.

Styles could answer an open challenge or even confront his former friend and current TNA World Champion Frankie Kazarian for a big time showdown that could take place on TNA IMPACT in the near future.

1. Chris Jericho Makes His Debut

To the surprise of some fans, Chris Jericho recently made some comments in regards to how TNA Wrestling looked with their sellout at Bound For Glory 2025.

Stating the company looked like the number two promotion in wrestling, Jericho might have shown his cards that he intends on leaving All Elite Wrestling when his contract expires in the near future.

With reports circulating about Jericho potentially returning to WWE, it would come as a huge shocker to see the first ever AEW World Champion head elsewhere.

Making the biggest impact possible, Jericho might be better served showing up on TNA Wrestling IMPACT’s AMC Network debut, marking his arrival in the company where he would be easily the biggest star on the roster right from his debut on January 15.
