While John Cena rocked the WWE when he turned heel, there are several top names that may be poised to go the other way and turn babyface.
From big returns to secret fan favorites that have recently been revealed, there are a variety of heels who could potentially make the switch.
Here are six babyface turns that could be coming soon to WWE.
6. Dominik Mysterio

While it previously seemed as though Dominik Mysterio was in fact the most hated man in WWE, that has changed.
A thunderous crowd reaction when he captured the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 41 revealed the truth – fans actually love Dom.
As it is clear that fans love to hate him, it is possible that Dominik will remain an everlasting heel, but he could also take a jaunt back towards being a full-on babyface.
With a short run as a babyface to give fans the opportunity to cheer for him without concern, ultimately they’ll live to regret it when he inevitably betrays everyone’s trust… again!

5. Drew McIntyre

Tell him when he’s telling lies! Drew McIntyre may have a lot of axes to grind in WWE but one thing he isn’t known for is exaggerating the circumstances.
Not shy about airing out his grievances with his treatment and the company – particularly since the return of CM Punk and their subsequent blockbuster feud – McIntyre has maintained the respect of the audience.
While McIntyre is seemingly a heel in WWE at the minute, he continues to ride a fine line between heel and babyface that keeps his character compelling and fun to watch.
If he were to have a storyline where he is positioned as the babyface that fans most want to root for – perhaps against the likes of a Logan Paul – the level of fan adoration for the Scot would become incredibly clear.

4. Rusev

Rusev made his return to WWE at the Raw after WrestleMania in an emphatic re-debut.
Taking on Otis recently, Rusev showed that his level of dominance had not slipped since his previous run in WWE.
Another thing that might not have slipped since his last WWE run may be his popularity, as his incredibly over Rusev Day catchphrase is still remembered to this day.
With “Rusev Day” chants breaking out during his return, there may become a point where he becomes as popular as he was last time around, and the company would be wise to capitalize.

3. Creed Brothers

With Chad Gable seemingly always poised to turn on his underlings, maybe a change of heart will flip the Creed Brothers back to babyfaces.
In the absence of Chad Gable, American Made aren’t particularly hated – which is a detail worthy of their consideration.
With the Creeds seemingly set to challenge The New Day for the World Tag Team Championship as they’ve become the #1 contenders, that match will effectively be heel vs heel.
There are a lot of ways that the storyline could play out, but in the end, the Creed Brothers would work just as well as babyfaces as they do as heels, so a switch could be a possibility.

2. Asuka

After being out of action due to injury since May 2024, there are recent reports that Asuka is expected to return in the near future.
While she has gone back and forth over the years – between babyface and heel – the year long absence has created an opportunity for a reset of her character.
In Asuka’s absence, IYO SKY has reclaimed the WWE Women’s World Championship and is even more popular than ever with fans – meaning it makes total sense for Asuka to align with her on team babyface.
Although fans are split on whether or not they prefer Asuka as a heel or babyface, it would be great to see her reunite with Kairi Sane and be a babyface version of the Kabuki Warriors.

1. Bronson Reed

Showcasing his heel side before being taken out of action due to injury, Bronson Reed is another WWE star that may benefit from going babyface in the future.
Although he was a member of the new Bloodline at Survivor Series: WarGames in his last appearance, suffering an injury in the match and battling back seems poised to bring out a warm reception from fans.
Similarly to Jacob Fatu, even if the actions that Reed are taking are technically dishonorable, if the crowd is chanting “one more time!”, it might make sense to become a babyface.
Although he can be a dastardly heel, Reed could be a threatening force in the ring but be showcased as a more endearing character outside of it to create another intriguing modern babyface in the vein of LA Knight and the aforementioned Fatu.
