TNA Wrestling has seen an upswing in fortunes over the past year.
It has signed a formal partnership with WWE, seen its attendances rise, and reportedly has a new television deal in the works.
If that more prominent TV deal does come through, fans can expect fresh stars to make their debut on the show.
Here are six potential TNA Wrestling debuts that could be coming soon.
6. Bishop Dyer

Baron Corbin was released from WWE late last year.
Now working under the name Bishop Dyer, the 41-year-old has been making appearances for high-profile promotions such as MLW and Scott D’Amore’s Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling.
Given his long-standing presence on WWE programming – and TNA’s history of bringing in former WWE stars – it wouldn’t be surprising to see him make the jump to TNA Wrestling.
That feels even more likely if the company secures its much-speculated new television deal.

5. Braun Strowman

Braun Strowman was released from WWE in May, marking the end of his second stint with the company.
So far there has been little indication of where the 42-year-old might end up, or even whether the former Universal Champion will continue his wrestling career at all.
In a recent interview promoting a horror film he starred in, Strowman spoke about his dream of playing Jason Voorhees in the newly announced Friday The 13th.
However, alongside the prospect of stepping into one of horror’s most iconic roles, ‘The Titan’ would also represent a huge signing for TNA Wrestling to headline the first show of its potential new television deal.

4. Man Like DeReiss

Man Like DeReiss is one of the independent scene’s most charismatic stars.
Currently the PROGRESS World Champion, the British standout never fails to get over with crowds – rapping himself to the ring.
DeReiss also teams with TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater as Boisterous Behaviour, and recently challenged Slater for the title in an excellent four-way bout at Wrestling Revolver that also featured WWE ID talent Marcus Mathers and Dante Leon.
The 28-year-old DeReiss is a unique, charismatic performer and a strong in-ring worker – making him a name who could very well become a star in TNA Wrestling.

3. Bea Priestley

Bea Priestley – the former Blair Davenport – was released from WWE in February.
The 29-year-old immediately returned to Stardom in Japan, the promotion where she first rose to international prominence.
There, she recently challenged for Stardom’s top prize, the World of Stardom Championship, in a standout match against Saya Kamitani on September 6 at Stardom to the World.
Priestley continues to demonstrate her in-ring ability and would represent an valuable addition to the TNA Wrestling Knockouts division.

2. Maki Itoh

In recent years, Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling’s Maki Itoh has made appearances in AEW as well as for top US indies including GCW, DEFY, and Black Label Pro.
At the end of August, the uber-charismatic star announced her departure from her home promotion, TJPW.
Given how over she has been during her US appearances, there has been speculation about the possibility of a full-time move to the States.
If that happens, pro wrestling’s ‘Fallen Idol’ could be a major signing for the TNA Wrestling Knockouts division.

1. Karl Fredericks

At the beginning of the decade, Karl Fredericks was regarded as a major prospect in pro wrestling.
After signing with WWE from New Japan, he languished in NXT under the name Eddy Thorpe before eventually being released earlier this year.
Since returning to the indies in September, Fredericks has worked for high-profile promotions such as GCW and West Coast Pro, showing he still has the ability to perform at a high level.
While not a big-name star, he’s someone TNA Wrestling could bring in and build up – allowing him to finally fulfil the potential he showed earlier in his career.
