With several major title matches already set for WWE WrestleMania 42, there are a variety of championships that don’t have plans revealed yet.
Since there are still plenty of storylines left to come together on the road to WrestleMania, there will almost certainly be more championship matches added to the card in the near future.
Here are six title matches potentially still to be added to WWE WrestleMania 42.
6. Carmelo Hayes vs. Ilja Dragunov vs. Trick Williams – United States Championship
One multi-man match that could bring about some fierce competition on the road to WrestleMania and also set up a lot of intriguing potential for the future could be Carmelo Hayes defending the WWE United States Championship against both Ilja Dragunov and Trick Williams.
Potentially leading to a reveal of a heel turn for Carmelo Hayes should he re-align with Trick Williams in a dramatic assault on Dragunov, there could be a great feud moving forward for the Mad Dragon.
Able to re-establish his confidence through a feud with the duo of Hayes and Williams, he could also strike up an unlikely alliance with another established main roster star in the effort.
Certainly with feuds seemingly solid between Williams and the likes of Sami Zayn or even Cody Rhodes, there could be some very exciting new storylines that emerge after WrestleMania 42.
5. Multi-Team Ladder Match For WWE Tag Team Championship
With Damian Priest and R-Truth toppling the MFTs to capture the WWE Tag Team Championship on the March 20 edition of SmackDown, there are brand new doors opened up for other teams.
Since there are a number of teams on SmackDown that would make solid contenders, it makes sense to see a multi-man match at WrestleMania 42 featuring the likes of The Street Profits, The Motor City Machine Guns, Fraxiom and Los Garza in addition to the feuding MFTs and Wyatt Sicks, there could be a lot of action in Las Vegas.
Potentially also throwing The Miz and Danhausen into the mix – that is, if The Miz doesn’t end up tangling with Jelly Roll at WrestleMania – the bout could end up being legendary on a number of fronts.
Able to also include entrants from other brands like current AAA Tag Team Champions Pagano and Psycho Clown or even TNA Wrestling Tag Team Champions Matt and Jeff Hardy, the tag team battle could certainly threaten to steal the show on either night.
4. Penta vs. Finn Balor vs. El Hijo Del Vikingo vs. Dominik Mysterio – Intercontinental Championship
After Penta captured the WWE Intercontinental Championship from Dominik Mysterio, the loss seemingly triggered a mutiny of Judgment Day against Finn Balor, casting the veteran leader out of the squad.
While it could make sense to see a rematch ahead of WrestleMania 42 between Penta and Dirty Dom have an interference by the scorned Balor, there seems to be a fourth competitor also joining the feud.
With the second part of Reyes de Reyes 2026 airing on March 21, there was another intriguing detail revealed in a segment featuring Dorian Roldán encouraging El Hijo Del Vikingo to call out Penta.
Potentially leading to a AAA crossover moment in a big way at WrestleMania 42, the intersecting storylines between all four opponents could turn out to be the most intriguing storyline on the road to WrestleMania 42.

3. The Usos vs. The Vision (Austin Theory & Logan Paul) – World Tag Team Championship
Perennial favorites for impressive WrestleMania performances as a tag team, Jimmy and Jey Uso seem a lock to have a match in Las Vegas this year.
However, while The Usos have certainly been involved in the storyline between Roman Reigns and CM Punk, they haven’t totally carved out their own spot for WrestleMania 42 just yet.
Definitely with their fair share of strife with The Vision, it could be that the teams settle their differences once and for all at WrestleMania 42.
Bringing together the impressive and entertaining antics of both teams, there could be a very fun match in Las Vegas between the show stealers.
2. Nia Jax & Lash Legend vs. Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss vs. The Bella Twins vs. Lyra Valkyria & Bayley – Women’s Tag Team Championship
After winning the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship from Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY, Nia Jax and Lash Legend have taken their dominance to new heights.
With the Irresistible Forces already displaying that they are a united team that can stand up to fierce challenges, it would make sense to see even more opponents come out of the woodwork.
In a bout that could lead to The Bella Twins capturing their first Women’s Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania 42, it could be that continued teases of a potential split between Flair and Bliss as well as Bayley and Lyra leading up to the event could keep the storyline interesting.
Providing an opportunity for all eight women to compete in Las Vegas at the big event, the match could end up being a fan favorite by the end of the weekend.
1. AJ Lee vs. Becky Lynch – Women’s Intercontinental Championship
One singles match that could be up for a title bout at WrestleMania 42 could be another round between AJ Lee and Becky Lynch.
After AJ Lee defeated Becky Lynch at WWE Elimination Chamber 2026 to capture the Intercontinental Championship, she has already toppled another fierce challenger.
After Bayley won a gauntlet match to determine who would get the first shot at AJ Lee, the pair went to war on March 16 with Lee able to retain her title.
While it’s possible to set up a multi-woman battle for the title, it could end up that it makes the most sense to see AJ Lee and Becky Lynch tangle again one-on-one on the ‘Grandest Stage of Them All’ in Lee’s big WrestleMania return.
