WWE SmackDown remains a brand that continues to host some of the most entertaining characters in all of the company and the blue brand could be getting some brand new additions soon.

Here are six new potential WWE signings who could be the perfect fit on SmackDown.

6. Mr. Iguana

Making a major impression on the WWE fanbase during his appearance at Worlds Collide, AAA star Mr. Iguana has caused quite the stir.

A long time star in AAA, there was immediate buzz over the popularity of the appearance with WWE even highlighting the star via a vignette that aired online and TV.

While immediately delighting audiences with his fun gimmick, face paint and stuffed iguana – which he handles with impressive skill – the character is certainly not going to be everyone’s cup of tea.

But if Mr. Iguana is joining the main roster, the perfect place for him may be the slightly sillier tone of SmackDown versus the more serious and dramatic tone of WWE Raw.

5. Hikuleo

While Hikuleo is not technically a new signing – since he was reportedly signed to WWE last Summer – he has yet to debut in the company.

Although some reports note that the former NJPW star could be arriving in SmackDown sooner rather than later.

Bringing his impressive stature and lineage, the 6 foot, 8 inches tall star is the half-brother of Tama Tonga and regards Tonga Loa as an adopted brother as well.

After Jacob Fatu betrayed Solo Sikoa at Money in the Bank, perhaps Solo will arrive at SmackDown with a brand new and very big enforcer.

4. Paige (Saraya)

AEW star Saraya

While WWE Raw saw the return of Nikki Bella to seemingly engage in a feud with Liv Morgan – there could be another Divas Era legend set for SmackDown.

Even before Saraya departed AEW, fans were already wondering if she would consider returning to WWE. With the star not only not ruling it out but actually mentioning she would love to return to the character of Paige – the dream could become a reality.

Paige was not medically cleared to compete when she last appeared in WWE – however Saraya would go on to compete successfully in AEW including becoming AEW Women’s World Champion.

With Evolution 2 just one month away on July 13, now would be the perfect time for the return of the former Divas Champion on WWE SmackDown.

3. El Hijo del Vikingo

El Hijo del Vikingo has made several appearances on WWE TV, however would be a great long-term fit for SmackDown.

Previously making his on-screen debut at WrestleMania 41 as he watched Rey Fenix vs. El Grande Americano at ringside, Vikingo would go on to thrill audiences at the big crossover event Worlds Collide.

Taking on Chad Gable, the pair put on a spectacular match that proved to be a great introduction to El Hijo del Vikingo for NXT fans.

However, in need of a permanent place on the main roster – Vikingo would be a great grab for Nick Aldis to draft to SmackDown.

2. Joe Hendry

Say his name and he appears! Perhaps Joe Hendry could be a welcome addition to the SmackDown roster in the near future.

Already proving to have history with the likes of Drew McIntyre, Hendry has gone on to make a major impression on main roster fans with his match against Randy Orton at WrestleMania 41.

Since he has already made multiple appearances on NXT including tangling with the brand’s top talent, it would make a lot of sense to see Joe Hendry make his official WWE arrival on SmackDown.

Seemingly poised to be signed by WWE when his TNA Wrestling obligations are completed, it seems that Hendry would be an excellent signing for the blue brand.

Another TNA Wrestling star that could make their way to WWE sooner rather than later is Mike Santana.

While the former AEW star is already making an impact in TNA, his recent appearances in NXT have made fans take note.

Bringing his engaging in-ring promos and captivating character to a new WWE audience, his bold attitude would fit in perfectly on SmackDown.

Making an appearance on NXT as a part of the crossovers with TNA Wrestling, it would seem that the star could be WWE bound soon considering how well he was received.
