The new and improved Baron Corbin reappeared on our screens as a member of the Raw roster on October 17, and he was flanked by a man he shares a lot of traits with, John Bradshaw Layfield.
Corbin and JBL’s alliance could be the start of a great new pairing that will help establish Corbin as the new ‘Wrestling God’, but JBL is far from the only legend WWE could use in this role.
Actually, there are a lot more legends that WWE could use as managers to create interesting characters and storylines for their television product.
6. Larry Zbyszko For Drew Gulak

The Living Legend Larry Zbyszko turns 71 this year, but he still has a lot of knowledge to share.
To this day he still is training the stars of the future. Having arguably the greatest heel of the early 1980s by someone’s side in WWE would only make sense.
Zbyszko was a very technical performer in his day, and one most gifted and underused technical performers in WWE currently is Drew Gulak.
The Pennsylvania Connection of Gulak and Zbyszko would revive Gulak’s WWE career and should make for some wild television.
5. Marlena For Quincy Elliott

Quincy Elliott only made his NXT TV debut recently, but he immediately made a connection with the crowd and reminded fans of many characters of pro wrestling’s past, for example, Goldust.
Marlena has a lot of experience being the manager for extroverted characters.
Marlena, also well-known by her real name Terri Runnels, could be the final ingredient to the already tasty recipe that is the Super Diva, Quincy Elliott.
4. The Sinister Minister For Judgment Day

The Sinister Minister, Father James Mitchell, actually never stepped into a WWE ring, unless you count ECW One Night Stand.
While Finn Balor, Damian Priest, Rhea Ripley and Rhea Ripley are really coming into their own right now, but having a legendary figure by their side could help take them to the next level.
The Sinister Minister adding to the Judgment Day’s numbers would help further cement their take over of Raw.
3. Paul Ellering For The Viking Raiders

Back when AOP was called up to the main roster, the return of manager legend Paul Ellering to WWE abruptly found its ending.
Since then there have been many rumors painting Paul Ellering as the perfect manager for X amount of powerhouse tag teams.
On SmackDown the perfect team just might wait for his guidance: The Viking Raiders. They appear to be aligning with Sarah Logan, but Sarah isn’t as established of a manager, so Ellering guiding all three would be great.
2. Rob Van Dam For Matt Riddle

This is a no-brainer, right?
Matt Riddle is at his best when he is serious. But putting him with a serious manager would not make sense at all. You need someone that can be goofy and funny with Riddle while also knowing how to unlock his serious side.
Introducing: Rob Van Dam. Fans have been waiting for ages to see these two and other than a segment on The Bump we are still waiting.
RVD and Riddle are the perfect combination and could lead Riddle to the World Championship, something RVD already has achieved.
1. Kurt Angle For Alpha Academy

A few months ago Kurt Angle and Chad Gable met once again in a WWE ring – just not how you’d think.
While Kurt Angle is enjoying his rightfully earned retirement, his comedic skills and infinite knowledge are still there.
Alpha Academy are one of the best acts in WWE, but they need something to increase their legitimacy – insert WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle!
The Olympic Gold Medalist and the super athletes of Otis and Gable are the most perfect of perfect mixes. WWE should do it now.
