The 2026 WWE Royal Rumble may still be well over a month away, but there have already been clues as to what the company’s creative plans will be for the event.

While the men’s and women’s Rumble matches will dominate much of the card, we could also see several title matches take place as well.

Here are five potential WWE title changes at Royal Rumble 2026.

WWE Intercontinental Championship – Logan Paul

While there were doubts among fans that Logan Paul would remain a part of Paul Heyman’s The Vision faction beyond Survivor Series, all questions were put to bed when “The Maverick” showed up alongside Heyman, Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed on the December 1 episode of Raw.

Interestingly, while Paul had previously seemed in line to potentially challenge CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship prior to Survivor Series, he has now taken a back seat to Bron Breakker.

With Breakker calling Punk for his gold at the first WWE Raw of 2026, Logan Paul has turned his attention to the Intercontinental Championship, currently held by Dominik Mysterio.

With Dom’s father Rey Mysterio also in the hunt, perhaps a three-way for the gold could happen at the Rumble, with Paul pinning the Hall of Famer to win his first IC Title.

WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship – Becky Lynch

While it certainly made for a nice moment when Maxxine Dupri captured the Women’s Intercontinental Championship, it’s hard to shake the feeling that she may not hold the gold for too long.

It feels inevitable that we get Becky Lynch vs. AJ Lee, and with AJ previously teasing a run with the IC Title, it feels like that match will likely be contested for the gold.

Becky has been relentless on social media in pursuit of justice for her title loss, and eventually Adam Pearce may just relent and give “The Man” what she wants.

Lynch helped elevate the Women’s IC Title during her run, and a match between her and AJ Lee being for the belt will only further increase it’s stock and importance in WWE.

WWE Tag Team Championships – The MFTs

The MFTs and Wyatt Sicks look set to be on a major collision course following an all out brawl on the December 5 episode of SmackDown.

While Solo Sikoa’s personal promo on the show may provoke Uncle Howdy to accept a challenge for a one-on-one match, it feels like the wider factions of the MFTs and Wyatt Sicks will also collide.

With Dexter Lumis and Joe Gacy reigning as WWE Tag Team Champions for almost 150 days, it feels like there’s a good chance that two of the four MFTs will be the team to finally dethrone them.

With Tama Tonga eyeing up Ilja Dragunov’s United States Title, and Talla Tonga acting more as Solo Sikoa’s bodyguard, it seems likely that it will be JC Mateo and Tonga Loa that capture the gold.

WWE United States Championship – Oba Femi

After some lacklustre United States Championship runs in recent years, it has been a breath of fresh air seeing the title defended so regularly on SmackDown.

However, with Ilja Dragunov continuing to push himself week after week, it feels inevitable that his luck runs out eventually, and the wrong man walks out the curtain to challenge him.

With Oba Femi potentially set for a main roster call-up in the near future, “The Ruler” answering a special Royal Rumble edition of the United States Title would make for a perfect introduction.

Much like his NXT North American Title reign made way for a dominant run as NXT Champion, Femi could hold the US Title for much of 2026 before ascending to the main event picture in 2027.

WWE World Heavyweight Championship – GUNTHER

While it may seem strange to pitch GUNTHER being the next to win the World Heavyweight Championship rather than Bron Breakker, perhaps “The Ring General’s” next title win could be more of a transitionary one, rather than the beginning of another lengthy run.

With rumors of Bron Breakker being among the favourites to win the men’s Royal Rumble, perhaps Punk will successfully defend his title against The Vision star at the first Raw of 2026.

This could then lead to GUNTHER, fresh off a potential win over John Cena at Saturday Night’s Main Event, stepping up for revenge on the “Best in the World” at the Rumble.

With Elimination Chamber being held in Chicago on February 28, Punk could then win the gold back in his hometown to a rapturous response – setting up a WWE World Heavyweight Title match with Breakker at WrestleMania 42.
