NXT Deadline 2024 is almost here and the final WWE PLE of the year has a lot of exciting action planned.
The two Iron Survivor Challenges are guaranteed late match-of-the-year contenders, but the card might need just a little bit of extra spice to make it a true standout of the year.
Let’s take a look at five potential surprises Shawn Michaels might have in store for us on Saturday night.
5. Oba Femi Returns
The former NXT North American Championship has not been seen on NXT since failing to recapture his title against Tony D’Angelo at October’s Halloween Havoc.
We do not currently know if the ruler of NXT is going to return to Tuesday nights or head straight up to the main roster.
While the upcoming WWE Transfer Window could result in the latter happening, the fact remains that there is still plenty of stuff for Oba to accomplish in NXT.
Whether it’s the NXT Championship or perhaps the NXT Tag Team Titles, the Nigerian’s trophy cabinet is far from full.

4. Eddy Thorpe Is Laid Out Again Before The Iron Survivor Challenge
Thorpe only got his spot in the Iron Survivor Challenge at the very last minute on Tuesday’s NXT.
However, his path to the spot hasn’t been easy, especially after inadvertently causing harm to General Manager Ava during a brawl backstage on the November 26 episode.
Likely as a result of this accident Thorpe found himself laid out backstage after his qualification for the Iron Survivor, with speculating rampant that the culprit could be anyone from Oba Femi to a debuting Lance Anoa’i or Hikuleo.
As a result Thorpe likely won’t make it to the Iron Survivor, even if he is fit to compete on Saturday he may found himself laid out once again before he steps through the ropes.

3. Fallon Henley Has To Defend Her NXT Women’s North American Championship
A lot of championships are not being defended at this year’s NXT Deadline, including Fallon Henley’s Women’s North American Championship.
Unfortunately for Henley, her potential challenger has already been banging on her door: the returning Gigi Dolin.
Surprisingly Dolin recently returned to NXT and aligned herself with Tatum Paxley, who has been feuding with Fatal Influence.
If there is a surprise title match this is the most likely one, and as a result the NXT Women’s American Championship perhaps isn’t going to be around Henley’s waist for much longer.

2. Ashante ‘Thee’ Adonis Confesses His Love To Karmen Petrovic
The love story between Ashante ‘Thee’ Adonis and Karmen Petrovic has been going on for quite a while on NXT TV now.
Adonis’ past reputation of being somewhat of a playboy hasn’t helped in gaining Petrovic’s trust.
Perhaps he might be planning to use the big stage of WWE NXT Deadline to confess his true love for Karmen in front of everyone, putting an end to this chapter of their lovestory.
There is a deadline to this game and Adonis has to be quick to make it.

1. Hikuleo Debuts
As per recent reports Hikuleo, son of Haku, is ‘in the WWE system’ getting ready for his debut.
While many assumed he would be joining his brothers Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa on the main roster, reports have suggested he will be heading to NXT instead.
If that is to happen then NXT Deadline is the perfect place to debut this giant of a man, especially with the perviously mentioned attack angle involving Eddy Thorpe.
Hikuleo would be an ideal opponent for almost anyone in NXT, being exactly the shot of adrenaline that the NXT Men’s Division needs. NXT’s Champions be better put on notice. There is a new monster in town.
