In an announcement made by Triple H, WWE will be heading to the Inalpi Arena in Turin, Italy for Clash in Italy 2026 on May 31.
Given that the event will be the company’s first PLE in Italy, they may look to cap it off with a major marquee match to help further rubber stamp its importance.
Here are five potential main events for the newly announced WWE Clash in Italy 2026 PLE.
5. Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins vs. CM Punk – WWE World Heavyweight Championship

While Roman Reigns is notable for his Samoan heritage, he is equally Italian with his mother being of Sicilian Italian descent — making him a perfect candidate for a Clash in Italy main event.
Since it is possible that either Roman Reigns or CM Punk will leave WrestleMania 42 with the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, it could be that they are headed for a collision with Seth Rollins.
Since Seth Rollins didn’t actually lose the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, rather had to vacate it due to injury, it may be that Rollins returns for Backlash.
Leading the way for a big bout in Italy at the end of the month, there could be a main event for the ages.

4. Bianca Belair vs. Jade Cargill

Seemingly headed for a showdown for over a year, fans remained hopeful that Bianca Belair would make a return ahead of WrestleMania 42.
While Jade Cargill has captured the WWE Women’s Championship in Belair’s absence over on SmackDown, their rivalry is clearly not over.
With Bianca Belair undergoing surgery on her left hand, she wasn’t down for the count long with “The EST” posting about her exercises in the days that followed.
While perhaps WrestleMania 42 is too early for their showdown, it could be coming for Clash in Italy 2026.

3. Bron Breakker vs. Oba Femi

In a battle of WWE behemoths, the stars could align for Bron Breakker and Oba Femi to tangle on the main roster.
With Bron Breakker undergoing hernia surgery in February, perhaps he will be back into in-ring competition by late May.
Able to pit the two massive men against one another, it could be that this bout is a number one contenders match to go on to face one of WWE’s top champions.
With Clash in Italy and SummerSlam 2026 having a gap of roughly nine-weeks in between, it could be that the UK tour is one of the last stops on the way to the “Biggest Party of the Summer.”

2. Drew McIntyre vs. Randy Orton – Undisputed WWE Championship

While the challenger for Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 42 hasn’t been revealed just yet, there will certainly be a lot of big moments for the Undisputed WWE Championship on the way.
But in the lead-up to SummerSlam 2026, it could be that there is a long road ahead for anyone attempting to topple Drew McIntyre.
With no end in sight to his current reign, it could be the perfect time in Drew’s career to see a solid run by which he retains the title over the likes of fierce competition Cody Rhodes and Jacob Fatu.
However if McIntyre ended up dropping the title to Randy Orton at Clash in Italy, there could be a fascinating set of circumstances leading up to SummerSlam.

1. Liv Morgan vs. Giulia – WWE Women’s World Championship

There is a lot of storyline beats to get through from ahead of Elimination Chamber through WrestleMania 42, Backlash and then Clash in Italy 2026.
However with Giulia being one of the notable WWE stars of Italian heritage (as she’s half Italian, half Japanese), it may be the perfect time for her to shine.
With Giulia being the perfect star to flip from SmackDown to WWE Raw for a fresh start, she could find herself tangling with another WWE star of Italian descent in Liv Morgan.
Since Liv Morgan has a shot at WrestleMania 42 at the title currently held by Stephanie Vaquer, she may pick up a big win in Las Vegas — or in Orlando at Backlash.
