As has been the case every year since 2019, AEW will host its Full Gear pay-per-view, with the event this time heading to Newark, New Jersey on Saturday, November 22.
Like many other AEW PPV’s before it, anticipation will be high for another great night of in-ring action, as well as some potential surprises.
As AEW is trying to build more stars in the absence of some key names on the roster, they may look to some names that formerly competed in WWE NXT, with the company already having great success in hiring many alum from the brand.
Let’s take a look at who made their name in NXT and could potentially take AEW to another level.
5. Fabian Aichner (Giovanni Vinci)
The highly athletic Giovanni Vinci has not been seen since his WWE release in February this year.
Perhaps he is just waiting for the right moment to return to action, and AEW would make for a great landing spot.
He would fit right in with the Don Callis Family and his in-ring style is perfect for AEW as well. The only thing he could not bring with him would be his name, so maybe he would use his real name Fabian Aichner again, or he could take on a completely new name.
Whatever he does, Vinci becoming All Elite does sound like the perfect match.

4. Priscilla Kelly (Gigi Dolin)
For Gigi Dolin, who now once more goes by Priscilla Kelly in the indies, it wouldn’t be her first visit to AEW should she arrive at Full Gear.
However, the landscape of the AEW Women’s Division has completely changed since the last time she was there for two matches in 2020.
All Elite Kelly would fit in perfectly to bolster the new Women’s Tag Division, and fans know they are in for a treat with her.
In her NXT stint, he already reigned as NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion, so she brings that experience to the land of the Elite.

3. Javi (Javier Bernal)
Big Body Javi already made his debut in ROH recently and to some fans is someone who never got a real shot in WWE NXT.
His run in WWE’s third brand never saw him feature in any notable storylines, but he was able to form a strong bond with the NXT fans.
Undoubtedly, he would do the same at AEW and show the Full Gear audience what he is really capable of.
Javi is the kind of guy who could be in the Casino Gauntlet, make people wonder why he is even in there, and by the end of the night, is the celebrated winner of the entire thing.

2. Cal Bloom (Von Wagner)
After perhaps too strong a push right out the gate in WWE NXT, Von Wagner eventually captured the hearts of wrestling fans in NXT with his emotional storyline alongside Robert Stone.
Only to be released right after. Wagner wrestled on ROH as Cal Bloom and also appeared as a security guard on AEW TV.
While he hasn’t appeared since that sole match in March, Bloom is still young at just 31 years old so has plenty of upside if given the chance in another big company.
Clearly, Bloom has not yet stopped dreaming, and maybe it’s time for the AEW roster to get tabled. Come next Tuesday Saturday!

1. Dakota Kai
Dakota Kai, or King Kota as she likes to go by outside of WWE, is deeply missed in the world of wrestling.
Since her second WWE release in May, she has left a void in the company, with her release still one of the company’s most surprising all year.
Without a shadow of doubt, her name lighting up the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, would make the crowd pop.
Kai is the sort of person who could excel anywhere in the AEW women’s division. She really is…Elite and it’d be great to see her get the opportunity in Tony Khan’s company.
