A WWE higher-up has addressed the ticket sales for WrestleMania 42, which takes place on April 18 & 19 in Las Vegas.
Marking the second consecutive year that WrestleMania takes place at the Allegiant Stadium, the two-night WWE Premium Live Event has previously seen Triple H the subject of ‘internal criticism‘ due to changing plans.
With the report noting that plans were changing due to a perceived ‘panic over ticket sales’, a WWE higher-up has now addressed the cost to attend the PLE.
In the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer quotes an unnamed source ‘near the top’ in WWE, who states:
“The audience is there. Are they inclined to pay ten gazillion dollars for tickets?”
At the time of writing, the main event of one of the nights will see CM Punk defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Roman Reigns.
Drew McIntyre defends the Undisputed WWE Championship against the winner of the men’s Elimination Chamber match.
Liv Morgan, having won the women’s Royal Rumble match, will be in singles action against either the Women’s World Champion on the WWE Women’s Champion.
The women’s Elimination Chamber match winner will go on to face either the WWE Women’s Champion or the Women’s World Champion – whichever one isn’t Morgan’s opponent.
CM Punk has recently stated that there is no difference between being the main event of night one or night two of WrestleMania.
