A WWE star has opened up on ‘pullback’ they got from executives when they first joined the company and the Performance Center.

Omos signed with WWE in 2019, with him reporting to the company’s Performance Center in Orlando, where he trained for over a year before making his way to WWE television in the Fall of 2020.

Omos wrestles a very specific style given his size, and he has now opened up on how he was initially attempting to work ‘faster’ when he first joined the company.

Speaking on Muscle Memory, Omos noted that he and Chris Hero were working faster during his first months at the Performance Center, but there was ‘pullback’ from executives due to him hurting himself frequently.

He said:

“My first couple of months at the Performance Center, I had the privilege of having my first coach at the Performance Center was Chris Hero, some of you might know him as Kassius Ohno, and he just saw how athletic I was and we just did everything.

“I did get hurt quite a bit during my first couple of months, then I think an executive decision was made to kind of pull it back a little and restructure how I was working, because yes I could do things very fast, but the payoff on the end of me getting hurt wasn’t really worth it, so there was a lot of pullback done.”
