A name change has officially been confirmed for a WWE star who entered the Royal Rumble match at today’s premium live event.
A couple of weeks ago, Natalya turned heel by costing Maxxine Dupri a Women’s Intercontinental Championship match against Becky Lynch and then aggressively attacking her former protege Dupri in the ring.
This was the introduction of the alternative version of Natalya that had been working matches outside of WWE over the past year or so – Nattie.
Nattie is essentially Natalya’s more aggressive side compared to the version of her we’ve seen on WWE TV for the past few years.
Entering the Royal Rumble match today at #13, Natalya entered but it was officially under the name Nattie instead of Natalya.
She also had new theme music, which was pretty much a copy version of Rage Against The Machine’s Killing In The Name, which is what she had been using in other promotions but evidently wasn’t able to use on WWE TV.
Nattie notably eliminated Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch shortly after entering the Rumble match.
