A WWE star is reportedly set for their final appearance with the company on tonight’s episode of Raw ahead of their departure.
This past weekend, it was reported by PWInsider that former Intercontinental Champion Ricochet had given his notice to WWE, and was set to exit the company when his deal expires this Summer.
Ricochet has recently been a part of a storyline with Bron Breakker and Ilja Dragunov on Raw, and it seems as though tonight’s (June 10) episode of the show could well be his final night in the company.
In an update from PWInsider Elite (via WrestlePurists), the current plan is for Ricochet to make his final appearance on tonight’s Raw taping, and he has no additional dates set with the company.
Unless he and the company come to an agreement on a deal he can’t refuse, and he has a late change of heart, his WWE run will likely come to an end on tonight’s show.
Dave Meltzer had reported that the situation was still ‘up in the air’, but PWInsider notes that numerous sources have confirmed that he had given his notice to the company.
Ricochet had previously used his ring name prior to signing with WWE, and he owns his name and can use it for any bookings outside the company.
