A new WWE SmackDown tag team ended up revealing their new tag team on social media after the segment was cut from the show.
After WWE SmackDown went off the air, news of a new tag team was broken by WWE on social media.
In a video that didn’t air on SmackDown itself but WWE posted on social media after the show, it was revealed that Ashante ‘Thee’ Adonis and Cedric Alexander have formed a tag team.
Now in a post from Fightful Select, it has been revealed that the video was originally scheduled to air on SmackDown.
Several weeks back there was a segment on SmackDown with GM Nick Aldis telling Adonis he had an idea that would get Adonis back on TV.
Adonis was previously a member of the faction Hit Row which disbanded after Top Dolla was released by WWE in September 2023.
Hit Row’s other member, B-Fab, recently returned as a new member of Bobby Lashley’s stable with the Street Profits.
As for Alexander, he was drafted to SmackDown in November, but hasn’t been on TV since two straight losses to Dragon Lee that month.
He did still have a dark match at last night’s SmackDown taping in Charlotte, North Carolina against Gable Steveson.
Responding to the video announcement being posted on Twitter, Alexander wrote: “We some baaad boooyz”.
