A two-time WWE champion has reached a new milestone in their current reign, having retained the title earlier this week.
Having defeated Sol Ruca in mere seconds, Jacy Jayne retained the NXT Women’s Championship on February 24 and has now reached the 100-day milestone.
The victory came thanks to Zaria betraying Ruca, leading to the breakup of ZaRuca and the very short match against Jayne.
Having defeated Tatum Paxley to become NXT Women’s Champion at Gold Rush on November 18 last year, Jayne’s current reign stands at 100 days, according to the official WWE championship page.
Paxley previously ended Jayne’s first 150-day reign as NXT Women’s Champion back at Halloween Havoc in October of last year.
Jace Jayne will shortly eclipse Tiffany Stratton’s NXT Women’s Championship reign, which ended after 107 days, with Rhea Ripley being next in line with 108 days (albeit with her loss airing on a delay).
There is, however, still some way to go for Jayne to eclipse the longest reigning NXT Women’s Champion, with Asuka holding that record at 522 days.
Having betrayed Sol Ruca, arguably leading to Jacy Jayne continuing as champion, Zaria has recently revealed the reason behind her actions.
