A WWE star has addressed a ‘Match of the Year’ award received for a match in another company that took place last year.
During 2025, Natalya took her Nattie Neidhart persona to the independent wrestling scene, with the veteran bringing the character to WWE over recent months.
One such outing took place this past June, with Nattie facing Promise Braxton at Reality of Wrestling’s Hart and Soul.
That showing has now been named Match of the Year in the recently announced Reality of Wrestling’s ROWards.
Natalya has shared her thanks to ROW and Braxton, tweeting:
“Thank you so much, @TheOfficialROW. Match of the Year is such a huge honor.
“But what makes this even more special… in the 11-year history of Reality of Wrestling, this is the first time a women’s match has won Match of the Year.
“Last year, when I stepped outside of WWE to build NATTIE, I asked @BookerT5x for space and time to create something very special with an incredible opponent to build a story that would pave the way for us to have an amazing match.
“So we got to work.
“Just like Bloodsport. Just like NWA. I prepared for my match at Reality of Wrestling like it was my own WrestleMania. I threw everything I had into it because I love BUILDING in wrestling.
“I told Booker T, “I want the woman who’s going to push me the hardest. I need someone who can awaken the monster…”
“He said, “Then you need Promise.”
“And @PromiseBraxton pushed me and challenged me in ways I needed to keep growing myself as a performer 18 years deep into my career. I know we pushed each other.
“I’m so proud of that match. Because we all need to grow, evolve and become better versions of ourselves every day. And it’s never too late to build new dreams. “Why not you?”
“The Low-Key Legend is alive.”
Natalya would conclude by sharing the YouTube link to the full match, which can be found right here.
Braxton recently took part in a WWE tryout and shared a thank-you message of her own to Natalya.
Thank you so much, @TheOfficialROW. Match of the Year is such a huge honor.
