In a recent video, TJ Wilson, a producer in WWE, has spoken about the inspiration that Brodie Lee Jr. brings, saying:

“If we all borrow a little bit of Brodie’s imagination, that childlike imagination, because that’s what wrestling is… It’s imagination.”

Natalya would go on to look at the art of storytelling in wrestling and its importance, using the young man as an example throughout the video, saying:

“The art of storytelling is a huge thing, and I think that’s one of the things that I’m trying to teach younger talent about, like, you don’t have anything unless you have a story.”

The video, which was shared on Natalaya’s Twitter account, features footage of Brodie Lee Jr training and cutting a promo, saying:

“But, then, when you realise I’m only thirteen, you look twice. People don’t look twice at me. They look twice at them. Why are they getting the shot? Why are they getting the opportunities? They don’t put in the work. What work did they put in? Then they come in here and they see what work I put in.”

“Yo, obviously, you come in here and you see a huge ring and you think ‘wow, this is crazy’.

“Like, people are just learning how to wrestle here, but it’s not just that because if you really watch, you can see everybody talking on the outside; not just about wrestling,  but how their family is and how their life is going.

“You know, it’s helped me as a human being to be kinder. It’s helped me to become more wise, but I don’t want people to just look at me and see wrestling. I want people to look at me and see how much work I put in and how I’m a kind person.”

Natalya would share her insights into what she hopes she offers to those training her and her husband, explaining:

“I’m really big on people taking their lives and taking control of success. I say to people, like, I wanted to write my book because it was another example of ‘you’ve gotta chase success.’

“Success doesn’t just come to you. You’ve gotta chase it, you’ve gotta run with it, you gotta run hard with it, and you can’t just wait for other people to hand you things. If you want to train, you’ve gotta find a way to train.”

The video then sees Wilson looking at the driving force of imagination in professional wrestling, saying:

“You’re in charge of your own creative to do a degree. Everything that we do, from start to finish, our character, our promos, this is all imagination.

“So, who has a better imagination than kids? So, the more we can tap into this kid’s brain, the better off we’ll be.”
