WWE 2K26 will see the return of a feature from last year’s entry in the long-running video game franchise.
With mere weeks to go until its March 13 general release date, WWE 2K26 will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2 and Windows PC.
As details emerge of features and first looks at the growing roster of stars, it has been confirmed that the World Tour feature from WWE 2K25 is set to make a return.
In an exclusive interview with Gaming Bible, Visual Concepts designers Brian Mazique and Terrell Carter discussed what to expect from the upcoming game.
Carter would state that there is a plan for World Tour throughout the year of its release, saying:
“World Tour has a lot of content, and we need to get the pacing right. We have a plan throughout the year, and it should be more enjoyable this time around. Pacing will be the key with smaller but regular chunks.”
With Gaming Bible’s Richard Breslin noting that last year’s World Tour mode was envisaged to feature “challenges in the US, UK, Europe and Japan to unlock bonus characters and currency”, he would note that the United States was the only region featured for months, with Japan being unlocked before a glitch saw other regions revealed and removed.
While the absent regions will not see an official unlocking in WWE 2K25, Breslin confirms that they and more will be available in the road map for this year’s release.
