It appears two WWE stars may have been removed from the 2026 Royal Rumble match ahead of the event taking place this Saturday, January 31.
The past couple of weeks have seen various WWE stars declare entry into the men’s and women’s Rumble matches.
However, it seems two names who declared for the men’s match may not be involved after all.
One of the first names to declare entry into the Rumble match was GUNTHER.
However, after he announced he’ll be entering, GUNTHER ended up setting up a singles match at the Rumble event against AJ Styles with the stipulation that if GUNTHER wins, Styles will retire.
GUNTHER initially declined the Styles match because he didn’t want to work double duty on the night, but accepted when Styles put his career on the line.
When he accepted, GUNTHER didn’t outright say it meant he wouldn’t be in the Rumble, but after the Styles match was confirmed, WWE hasn’t included GUNTHER in any of the graphics promoting the Rumble match and its entrants.
We’ll keep you posted if any clarification on GUNTHER’s Rumble match status emerges.
Another WWE star who planned to enter the Royal Rumble but is seemingly out of the picture is Finn Balor.
On tonight’s January 26 WWE Raw, Balor told General Manager Adam Pearce that he was declaring his entry into the Rumble.
However, Pearce refused Balor’s declaration on the basis that the Rumble match is already full and there are no spaces left.
Again, we’ll keep you updated if Balor’s status changes, but it appears he won’t be entering the Rumble match in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia despite stating his intentions to do so.
