A potential spoiler has been revealed on a top WWE star appearing on Friday’s March 1 edition of SmackDown.
At WWE WrestleMania 40, Cody Rhodes will challenge Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
In the lead-up to the event, Rhodes has had to deal with not only The Bloodline, but also The Rock who returned to face Reigns himself before Cody chose his cousin for Mania. However, Rhodes has found an unlikely ally in his former rival and current World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins.
Per PWInsider Elite (via Wrestling Inc.), Seth Rollins is currently scheduled to be at this Friday’s SmackDown.
There were no further details mentioned regarding what the plans are for Rollins at the taping.
At WWE Elimination Chamber Perth, Rhodes challenged The Rock to a singles match ahead of WrestleMania 40 while appearing on the Grayson Waller Effect.
“The People’s Champion” is expected to answer Cody’s challenge on the program this Friday.
WrestleTalk will provide any further updates on The Rock’s appearance on this week’s SmackDown when they become available.
