There were two more WWE NXT TV in-ring debuts during tonight’s April 8 episode of NXT at the Performance Center.
Earlier in the show, the Swipe Right tag team of Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes made their debut in a loss against Fraxiom.
Later in the main event, there were two more debuts as DarkState had their first official match as a group.
Three members of DarkState faced Oba Femi, Je’Von Evans and Trick Williams in a six-man tag team match.
The three men representing DarkState were Dion Lennox, Cutler James and Saquon Shugars.
While Lennox has already had numerous matches on NXT TV, this was the debut for James and Shugars, although they have both had matches on Level Up previously. The group’s fourth member, Osiris Griffin, was on the outside.
During the course of the match, Femi and Williams ended up fighting with each other, leaving Evans alone to suffer the loss, as he was nailed with a triple powerbomb that featured Shugars coming off the middle rope.
Femi, Williams and Evans are set for a three-way match at WWE Stand & Deliver for Femi’s NXT Championship.
