More WWE stars have officially been confirmed for the upcoming 2026 Royal Rumble match in Riyadh later this month.
With the Rumble now under two weeks away on January 31, WWE stars have begun officially announcing that they will be part of this year’s edition of the titular 30-person match.
The first name confirmed was two-time Undisputed WWE Champion and two-time Royal Rumble winner Cody Rhodes, who announced his entry on SmackDown this past Friday.
During tonight’s January 19 episode of WWE Raw, more names joined Rhodes in declaring their Rumble entries.
The first of those was two-time World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER, who was the Rumble runner-up in 2023.
GUNTHER was then confronted by AJ Styles, who challenged GUNTHER to a singles match at the Rumble event.
GUNTHER’s response was initially to reject the match, but he then said he’ll accept on the condition that Styles puts his career on the line – Styles accepted that condition, so that match is official for the Rumble event as well.
Secondly, 2025 Rumble winner and current World Tag Team Champion Jey Uso also announced he’ll be entering the match, looking to go back-to-back wins like Rhodes did in 2023 and 2024.
Jimmy Uso wasn’t present at the show when Jey made his announcement, so there’s been no mention of whether Jimmy will also be in the Rumble match or not.
Later on Raw, WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY announced they’ll both be in the women’s Royal Rumble as well. Ripley won the Rumble in 2023.
Liv Morgan and Roxanne Perez interrupted Ripley and SKY, announcing that they too – as well as Raquel Rodriguez – will be in the Rumble.
Perez was last year’s runner-up, while Morgan was the runner-up in both 2023 and 2024.
After that, 2024 winner Bayley and Lyra Valkyria both announced they’ll be in the women’s Rumble match as well.
In an interview with Cathy Kelley, WWE Hall of Famer and 2006 Royal Rumble winner Rey Mysterio announced that the luchador trio of he, Penta and Dragon Lee are also entering the Rumble this year after they defeated The Vision in a six-man tag match tonight.
In a locker room segment later in the show, Kairi Sane vowed to help Asuka win the Royal Rumble, seemingly confirming them both for the match as well. Asuka won the first ever women’s Rumble match back in 2018.
