An upcoming non-wrestling appearance for Mercedes Mone has been confirmed during her absence from AEW television.
Having lost the TBS Championship to Willow Nightingale on the New Year’s Smash episode of Dynamite, Mercedes Mone has since railed against the disrespect in AEW, taking a leave of absence.
While she may be absent from AEW action, Mone has been confirmed for an appearance in a returning Paramount Network television series.
The season 10 trailer for Bar Rescue reveals that the show will return on February 22, with Mercedes Mone appearing on the reality television series.
Previewing the new season of Bar Rescue, the official Paramount press release states:
“This milestone season ups the ante with special celebrity guest appearances, including Chris Kirkpatrick of *NSYNC and pro wrestler and actress Mercedes Varnado, who join Taffer in the field as he journeys to cities across Florida, Georgia, Tennessee and Kentucky to help revive ailing establishments.”
Mone, who holds multiple championships across the independent wrestling scene, was also announced for Banger Zone Wrestling’s APOGEE show in March.
A veteran ring announcer in his own right, the father of John Cena has recently revealed that Mone was considering giving up on wrestling before she signed with WWE and became Sasha Banks.
