Major NJPW Stars To Appear On Next Week’s AEW Dynamite

A number of major NJPW stars are reportedly set to appear on next week’s episode of AEW Dynamite ahead of the Forbidden Door pay-per-view.

Next Wednesday’s episode will be the final edition of Dynamite before the AEW x NJPW crossover show that Sunday.

While several matches have been announced for the pay-per-view, a number of top bouts haven’t been officially confirmed, including the IWGP World Heavyweight Title bout.

Per the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, many NJPW names will be on next week’s episode of Dynamite to set up contests planned for the event:

We weren’t able to confirm Okada’s status one way or the other, but have been told that a lot of major New Japan stars will be in Milwaukee on 6/22 to set up their still unannounced PPV matches

Jon Moxley is slated to face off against Hiroshi Tanahashi to determine the AEW Interim World Champion in CM Punk’s absence. AEW also plans to crown its inagrual All-Atlantic Champion at the event.
