Lilian Garcia is officially back on WWE Raw after the departure of ring announcer Samantha Irvin was announced earlier today.
Irvin revealed her exit from WWE on social media a few hours ago, surprising fans and even some people in the company at today’s Raw.
However, WWE did have a replacement on hand in the form of veteran ring announcer Lilian Garcia making her return.
While it wasn’t shown on TV, WWE posted a video of Garcia making her entrance after Wade Barrett before tonight’s Raw went on the air, which you can see below.
Garcia’s first ring announcing duties were for the opening match of the night between New Day and the Authors of Pain in the first round of the World Tag Team Championship #1 contenders tournament.
While not officially announced yet, WRKD Wrestling reports that Garcia is in fact back with WWE in a full-time role. WWE did acknowledge Irvin’s departure during Raw through announcer Joe Tessitore before he introduced Garcia.
She previously made an appearance on Raw this past May, where she announced one match while Samantha Irvin did the rest of the show as usual.
