John Cena has commented on today’s WWE Royal Rumble 2026 premium live event, the first PLE since his retirement in December.
On December 13, John Cena had his official farewell match, which he lost against GUNTHER.
Ahead of today’s Rumble event, Cena took to social media to address the show, calling it one of the most important and exciting parts of the WWE calendar.
He wrote:
“The Royal Rumble is one of the most exciting, surprising and important events in WWE!!
“The Road to WrestleMania starts now with this historic Rumble you don’t want to miss! I’ll be watching!”
Throughout this week, Cena has been posting photos in tribute of AJ Styles on his Instagram page ahead of Styles’ potential retirement tonight at the Royal Rumble against GUNTHER.
GUNTHER defeated both John Cena and Goldberg in their retirement matches last year and has taken on the nickname, the ‘Career Killer.’
Cena is one of the few two-time Royal Rumble match winners, having come out on top in both 2008 and 2013.
The betting favorites for tonight’s men’s Rumble have been Roman Reigns and Bron Breakker.
