Jeff Jarrett And IMPACT Wrestling Are Headed To Court

Jeff Jarrett who is the owner of Global Force Entertainment and Anthem Sports Entertainment, the parent company of IMPACT Wrestling, are headed to court. According to PWInsider, the two parties will be headed to court at the end of June.

Jeff Jarrett and Global Force Wrestling are in the middle of a lawsuit with IMPACT that goes back to when the two parties worked together many years ago. Jarrett alleges that IMPACT broke copyright rules using footage of Global Force Wrestling’s Amped Series.

A court in Tennessee ordered both sides to try to mediate last month. Apparently, it didn’t go so well. Negotiation attempts were unsuccessful and they could not agree to a deal that would prevent a trial.

Jarrett attended the mediation in person. However, Ed Nordholm appeared via teleconference. He’s in Canada and was not allowed to enter the US.

The official date for trial 6/30 but COVID-19 may not allow for that to happen.  Both sides have until 6/12 to get their evidence and witnesses together.  The trial is supposed to last about a week.

Jarrett is currently a producer for WWE. The lawsuit does not have any impact on his current status with WWE.
