A former WWE star has reportedly signed a contract with AEW after making her in-ring debut for the company last month.

After being released by WWE back in May along with tag team partner Katana Chance (Kacy Catanzaro), Lacey Lane (fka Kayden Carter) returned to the independent scene, and in just her second match as a free agent on September 10, debuted in Ring of Honor.

After a pair of matches in ROH, Lane then made her AEW Dynamite debut one month later – emerging as the surprise opponent of Mercedes Monè in an AEW TBS Championship match on the  October 7 episode.

While Lane has not been seen on AEW TV since her loss to Monè, fans of AEW should expect to see more of her in the future as she has now signed a contract with AEW according to Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp.

Lane spent six years in WWE, first signing with the company in 2018.

During her tenure, Lane won both the NXT and WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships along with Katana Chance.
