Former WWE star Baron Corbin has made his AEW debut in a pre-show match ahead of tonight’s episode of Dynamite.
Corbin, now known as Bishop Dyer, exited WWE in November 2024 and has primarily worked for MLW since then, reigning as MLW World Tag Team Champion alongside Donovan Dijak.
Since his WWE departure, Dyer has been in attendance backstage at a few AEW events, leading to rumors about potentially signing with the company.
He’s also known to be close friends with current AEW World Champion MJF.
Tonight, Dyer made his AEW debut in a pre-show match before the live episode of Dynamite in Orlando.
Dyer teamed with Martin Stone (former WWE NXT Tag Team Champion Danny Burch) and Better Together in an eight-man tag team match against Billy Gunn, Austin Gunn, Brady Booker (former NXT star Bodhi Hayward) and Elijah Drago.
Other pre-show matches that took place before Dynamite were Matt Menard vs Serpentico, and Nathan Cruz & Rosario Grillo vs QT Marshall & Steven Borden, the son of the legendary Sting who has worked a couple of matches for AEW recently.
Tonight’s Orlando taping will include an impromptu taping for this Saturday’s edition of Collision which was originally planned to air live from Arlington but has been canceled due to weather conditions.
