CM Punk has hailed John Cena’s attitude throughout his 2025 WWE retirement tour.

Heading into John Cena’s penultimate WWE appearance and match this Saturday at Survivor Series, his long-time rival CM Punk has spoken highly of the manner in which Cena has carried himself during his final run in the company.

Speaking to Kay Adams on the Up & Adams Show, Punk said:

“Cena is I think our Wayne Gretzky I’ve been saying. Somebody who’s held it down for a very, very long time.

“Watching him exit with such style and grace and dignity has been a real treat. We don’t often get to say goodbye in real time to our sports heroes but this is one time we can.”

Cena’s final WWE Premium Live Event match this Saturday will come against “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio, with the pair facing off one-on-one for Cena’s Intercontinental Championship.

His last-ever WWE match and appearance will then come at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13, with Cena taking on the winner of the Last Time is Now Tournament, which is currently ongoing.

Elsewhere, CM Punk will also be competing at Survivor Series as he teams with Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns and The Usos against Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Logan Paul, Drew McIntyre and Brock Lesnar.
