The backstage reaction to Brock Lesnar slipping and falling over during his entrance on WWE Raw this week has been revealed.
Lesnar made his entrance as part of the final build to this weekend’s WWE Survivor Series WarGames match, but as he hit his signature pose and the pyro went off, he slipped over and did a backwards roll before springing back to his feet and laughing his way to the ring.
In a new interview with No-Contest Wrestling, Bronson Reed, who was there at ringside when it happened, has commented on his view of it and the reaction backstage, including Drew McIntyre saying he nearly slipped during his entrance as well.
Reed said:
“Knowing Brock Lesnar as I do, I’ve only known him for a short amount of time, he is a very intense individual. He is The Beast. That is him.
“I saw him slip and somehow backroll, get straight back to his feet. And in my mind, I was like, he’s either gonna laugh this off – which he seemed to do, he laughed it off, we got to business – or he’s gonna be very angry and all those guys in the ring are gonna pay for it.
“I did see it, but I just let it slide and I made sure to get back to business. I think Brock himself said it (backstage), he walked through the curtains, he had slipped on something.
“I don’t know who wrestled beforehand because Drew said in his entrance he almost slipped, so I don’t know if someone had wet their hair or oil or something was out there on that entranceway.
“I don’t think it fazed him too much. He’s the sort of individual… if that was someone else and they were to slip, they’d probably fall on their ass and that’d be it and people wouldn’t engage anymore from there, it’d be hard to get the people back.
“But because it’s Brock Lesnar, he almost backrolled, got back to his feet, took his cowboy hat off, and you knew he’s still gonna beat the hell out of people.
“So if it was gonna happen to anyone, at least it was him.”
