MJF has officially returned to AEW, but that’s the only return for the former World Champion and Salt of the Earth star.
This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite saw MJF return and insert himself into the championship picture ahead of Worlds End on December 27.
With the final AEW pay-per-view of 2025 seeing Nic Nemeth (the former Dolph Ziggler) posing a question about the role MJF will play at Worlds End, the star has been confirmed for a further return early next year.
Limitless Wrestling revealed that, for one night only, MJF will be making a return at their January 26 show, in a tweet that reads:
“ONE NIGHT ONLY 👑 1.16.26
“The King Is Back • Lewiston, ME”
The post was accompanied by a highly-stylized video of MJF’s previous run in Limitless Wrestling, with his last appearance being in September 2019.
Prior to his departure, MJF was the Limitless World Champion, losing the title to Anthony Greene at the aforementioned September 2019 show.
The recent return to AEW has seen MJF find a new sense of purpose, having last competed at All Out with a loss to Mark Briscoe in a Tables N’ Tacks match.
