The date and location for this year’s AEW Double or Nothing has been revealed, with the company making a pay-per-view debut in a new venue.
Entering its eighth year in 2026, AEW Double or Nothing has been an annual event on the pay-per-view calendar, taking place in late May.
A report by the New York Post, states that the pay-per-view event will once again take place in May, with the venue confirmed as the Louis Armstrong Stadium.
Set for May 24, AEW Double or Nothing takes place in the 14,000-plus-seat stadium venue and will be the first time the pay-per-view has taken place inside the five boroughs.
Speaking to MJF, the two-time AEW World Champion reflected on the significance of a major event in New York, saying:
“When people think of America, when they don’t live in America, they think of New York. Every single famous movie is based in New York.
“The most famous professional wrestler who ever lived, Maxwell Jacob Friedman, is from New York. … the nice part is I don’t have to schlep as far as I usually do for the pay-per-view.”
The report notes that AEW has previously run pay-per-views “in the New York area at Nassau Coliseum, UBS Arena and Prudential Center” with this being the first to take place at the Louis Armstrong Stadium.
Arthur Ashe Stadium has played host to AEW Grand Slam multiple times, starting in 2021, with the last event taking place in 2024.
